Greatest Uncommon Denominator makes up GUD (pronounced good) Magazine. This magazine contains works of literary, fiction, poetry, and illustrations.
Each story is chilling or surprising in its own way. I very much liked the poetry as well as the photo's. This magazine is not full of ads for clothing, cologne or cigarettes, it is just full of wonder and excitement with each scroll of the page ( I reviewed in PDF form).
Just to mention a few of the artists included in the magazine, a short story called Experiment: Love by Brian Conn really got my attention; I liked it very much. Poetry by Kenneth L. Clark called A Doorbell was exquisite, and the photo called Steps To Darkened Ends by Ali Al Saeed (creepy you never know what lurks at the top of these steps) gave me chills.
This magazine is very well put together with surprises every time you get to a new page. The outcome is sometimes very unexpected, and shocking. I look forward to reading the next issue of GUD Magazine if it is even half as good as this issue. Definitely a 5 heart worthy read.

Dog On A Surfboard (and the rest of the adventure) by Billy Lambert *print book*
Kamehameha enjoyed surfing Hawaii's highest waves with his human pal Jeffrey. Such a sight to see, an Irish Terrier perched on the front of a surfboard with Jeffrey right behind him, riding the waves. Until the biggest Kahuna of a wave came out of nowhere and killed his best friend and surfing companion.
Kamehameha now had a new owner, Sharon, Jeffrey's daughter. Sharon wanted to be far away from the sea; and didn't give Kamehameha any choice but to go to California with her. On the plane ride Kamehameha meets Georgie a spider monkey always looking for mischief and adventure. Georgie became a great friend and literal lifesaver to Kamehameha.
With Georgie and Juliet's help, Kamehameha escaped the plane to California only to end up in the jungle where dangers lurked around every turn. Kamehameha encounters animals he had never seen before such as; twin jaguar kittens, a gigantic snake, vampires, and many more interesting carnivores. Each of which were always looking to make Kamehameha or his friends into a tasty snack.
Will Kamehameha survive in the jungle with all the beasties wanting to have him for dinner? Has he ridden his last and final wave; or is there still hope?
Billy Lambert has a very vivid imagination. Children will love to hear this story many times over. Exciting events popped up all through this book, it never ceased to amaze me at what Kamehameha and his friends could get themselves into. Mr. Lambert had me laughing aloud while reading; that along with his colorful characters, gladly earns 5 hearts from me.

The Brentridge Gold: The Plieades Portals Series by W. Lambert III *print book*
David Brentridge was the only Brentridge heir left alive that knew about the family secret. Many men and even a woman sought out the rumored gold hidden on Brentridge property. None had ever breached the security of faithful work hands, the pool of poison, or the gun of David Brentridge himself.
Recent deaths led David to believe that his enemy Will Janely, was on the lookout to get his grimy hand on the gold. David was right in suspecting Will; but he never would have guessed who actually rode away that day with the small fortune leaving David for dead.
That one day put life in motion for David. He knew he must marry to sire a child of his own to pass on the family secret to. The only problem was, he didn't know where to find her as she has up and disappeared. In the end David got what he wanted all along; he was willing to pay the price in gold, too bad it also cost a leg.
Mr. Lambert has written a western that is a wickedly detailed , weirdly worded book of pure excitement. The characters exploded from the pages coming right to life. This story was very detailed, so much so that it distracted me from the story time to time. With that aside this is definitely a 4 heart worthy series that I will be sure to follow.

True To Self by Tilisha Alexander *print book* Reviewed for Blu Phier Publishing
Farrah had pretty much convinced herself that love was not meant for her. She knew that if the right man didn't come along soon that she would be a virgin for the rest of her life.
This novel True To Self takes you through a few bombed relationships of a young woman named Farrah. The boys all saw her as a prize, hoping to win her virginity.
Farrah first dated Raheem, who of which cheated on her five times because she would not go to bed with him. Then along came Brieson; she was smitten with him from the first time they spoke. Farrah just knew Brieson was, "The One." But when Brieson started acting strangely, her suspicions were confirmed; there was another woman.
Brieson told Farrah that he loved her but still had a relationship with Kathleen and that he just needed some time to think. Farrah knew it was all about sex and she just wasn't ready for that. Farrah just gave up hope of being with Brieson after she moved to Seattle to start her career, and met a new man named Chi.
Chi was everything Farrah ever wanted in a man. He made her forget all about Brieson. So much so that she willingly gave him her coveted virginity. Things were going wonderfully, he even moved in with him. Then one day out of the blue she receives a phone call from Brieson and those old feelings start to drift back.
Does true love ever find Farrah? Did she make the right choice in giving her innocence to Chi?
Ms. Alexander has captivated me with this heartfelt novel. It was well written as well as believable. I was pleasantly surprised by the outcome of this story. One thing that did distract me was the curse words were not completely spelled out, instead the words would start then have blanks in the middle where the rest of the words were supposed to be.
With that aside, I give Ms. Alexander 4 hearts for winning my hear with True To Self.

Humanity's Edge by Tamara Wilhite *print book* Reviewed for Blu Phier Publishing
Humanity's Edge is a collection of thirteen Science Fiction short stories that will keep you thinking.
I am going to focus on my favorite story out of all the shorts in this book. It was called Double Trouble.
A young man just seventeen years old, visits a local lawyer to inquire how to sue his father. The young man believes he was subject to child endangerment and child abuse.
The lawyer noticed something not quite right about the young client. It seemed he suffered from Parkinson's; but he was only a child there was no way he could have an older person's disease. After assuring the young man he had no case until he became of the legal age, twenty one, there was nothing that could be done.
When the young man revealed that he was cloned at birth, that automatically got the greedy lawyers attention. Cloning was illegal and a large reward was offered for information regarding the law breakers. The lawyer convinced his client to let him use this information to prosecute the young man's father. The lawyer saw dollar signs at that moment hoping to use the reward money to pick up his slow practise.
The young man hoping to wreak revenge on his father, actually brought the punishment on himself as well. Because the lawyer planned on turning the young man in as well in hopes of a larger reward.
Ms. Wilhite's short stories are each different in their own way, but come together as one book beautifully.
The only faults I have are that a couple of the stories were too short for my taste, but had definite possibilities if they had went on for a few more pages. Also I referred to the above characters as young man and lawyer; there were no names given and I think that takes away from the story a bit.
Ms. Wilhite will keep you turning the pages with her out of this world writing style. Humanity's Edge receives 3 hearts.

Damages by Bazhe *Print Book*
Bazhe's autobiography that will truly touch your heart.
Bazhe was tormented from a very young age by his family and friends.
He was also on the search for his biological parents; and was having no luck at all finding them. These actions would later in life mold him into the man he is today. Bazhe's whole life changed when he received the news that his father passed away.
Bazhe knew he must come to Macedonia to mourn for his father so he or "Mother" would not be ridiculed. While staying at home Bazhe realized there was something wrong with his mother. Finally convincing her to go to the doctor, she was diagnosed with cancer.
Bazhe stayed by her side almost the entire time of her illness; helping her in any way he could.
He finally got a lead on his biological mother from an old college friend. When he tracked Mila down, she expressed how badly she did not want to give Bazhe up but was so young at the time she was raped by his father, she didn't have any other choice. Bazhe wants the truth about his father, but Mila will not speak of him. He even invited her stay in his parents home when she came to visit.
Bazhe felt he lived in two different worlds with two very different mothers. He would take care of Kostadina, and as soon as she fell asleep from the medications he would go to Mila and tell her the story of his life. Recounting the horrors as well as the nice parts of growing up, Bazhe shares in great detail his first gay experience, first love, and first drag experience with Mila. Wanting her to know him for who he really was. He could never tell these things to his mother Kostadina.
As time progressed, Mila had to return home to her husband and two sons. She called to check on Bazhe quite often; sometimes he would answer the phone and other times not. The cancer had began to eat at his mother's body rapidly. In the few months he was back in America taking his citizenship exam, her condition worsened. When Bazhe returned to Macedonia to be with his mother once again, it would be the last time he saw her alive.
Bazhe has written the heart wrenching story of his life in this book. I was amazed at all he had to endure during his youth and adulthood. Bazhe may have been damaged on the outside and in his heart; but never once was his spirit broken. This story is shocking and so full of love. You must pick up a copy of this book and get to know Bazhe because he sounds like such a wonderful man with so much love in his heart.
This autobiography deserves 5 hearts. I wish I could meet Bazhe in person, the first thing I would do is give him a huge hug for being such a wonderful son to his mother and for doing what he wanted to do in life; despite what others wanted him to do.

Reignited by Misty Simon *print book*
Reignited is a collection of three hot erotic short stories. Come and experience a taste of true lust and love through the eyes of Heather, Rebecca, and Candace as they get their second chance at happiness.
I am going to focus on the second short story First And Last Kiss. It was my favorite out of the three.
Rebecca Thompson had just been fired from her job for exposing the boss for the pervert he was. Then to make matters worse she ended up having a one night stand at a bar after being celibate for two years. Rebecca had no idea what had gotten into her, well besides this handsome man Mark she couldn't stop thinking about. Not to mention he was the one to give her her first kiss almost fifteen years ago. If he didn't recognize her now she sure was not going to remind him.
Mark Foreman could not get this woman out of his head. He didn't even ask her name before he slept with her, and by the time he woke up the next morning she was gone. Feeling as though he would never see the beautiful redhead again he still became aroused at just the thought of her.
Rebecca wanted to start a lingerie business for the longest time and now was her opportunity. She just needed to seek out a graphic designer to get her catalog started. And who do you suppose would have the best rates? The company that Mark owned; so when Rebecca showed up for her meeting and Mark twirled around in the office chair, shock was imminent on both faces.
Feelings from the night they had become intimate came flooding back to each one, but could they be professional and get Rebecca's catalog started? When Jenny comes into town to visit her brother, will her actions ruin what relationship Rebecca and Mark have?
Ms. Simon is an astonishing writer. The erotic stories were magnificently described as the characters were very real to me. Not every one has to be a size 5 to be beautiful. Each story was remarkable in its own way. This will surely end up on my keeper shelf. Ms. Simon gets 5 hearts for her naughty collection of erotica shorts.

Through A Magic Mist by Tambra Kendall *e-book*
This story is Hot Hot Hot!
Kelly was tired of being the virgin with hormones racing, demanding male company and craving for release.
So she decided one night to chant a spell to the Great Goddess wishing for a man who in turn was hopefully her soul mate.
Kelly was startled by the man emerging from the silvery mist; he was beautiful. Kelly had never seen a more handsome man in her life, and he would be hers!
Sloan was the clan chief and Arch druid that had known of Kelly for some time. He knew she was the one to help save the clan as well as become his mate. The night had come when Travis, Sloan's brother came wrecking havoc upon the clan. The only thing that would save everyone was for Sloan to wed Kelly and perform the mating ritual in hopes that Travis could no longer disrupt the lives of the innocents.
Kelly was totally one hundred percent not going to marry Sloan, until she realized that it wouldn't be so bad after all. He was one good lover though she didn't have anyone to compare him to, she knew he was the only man she would ever want to share a bed with. Their union was hot and heavy each time, and when Kelly requested a man to show her release, she never would have imagined this God could make her feel the way he did.
Ms. Kendall is a spell binding writer who has a very very Hot imagination. This story was mostly about the union of two lovers but it had a purpose and that was to save the clan. I hope to read more of Ms. Kendall's work in the future, this time I'll make sure to have a glass of cold water on hand to cool me down. I think Through A Magic Mist is a 4 heart review all the way.

Poison Ivy by Misty Simon * print book*
Ivy must move to Marth's Point Virginia to claim her inherited costume shop and the home Aunt Gertie left her in the will. Ivy would be completely surprised to find out that costumes were not the only things sold in The Masked Shoppe.
Along her journey of proprietress, Ivy meets a good friend who pulls her out of her brown fashion stylings, a hunky man that she can't seem to get off of her mind, and an old bitty that is sour because the shoppe was not left to her.
After Ivy's underwear was stolen and a murder was committed at the Halloween Ball. Ivy decided to do a little investigating on her own. Although Ben Fallon would not have her slinking around getting into trouble so they formed a partnership; which by the way would have gotten really steamy if things didn't keep interrupting them.
In the end all seems to have worked out....but who wanted revenge so badly on Ivy that they would go so far as to poison her? You'll just have to pick up a copy for yourself to find out.
Ms. Simon has written a humorous story that will keep you guessing. The characters personalities were very likable, and I thought this book was very smooth to read. I only wished there were more drama; like more threats to Ivy. It seemed like the person wanted her gone but never really did anything to threaten her much besides a robbery and a couple of phone calls. Ms. Simon gets 4 hearts for Poison Ivy, I can't wait to read the next book to see what kind of trouble Ivy gets herself into.

The Reckoning by Eric Enck *print book* reviewed for Blu Phier Publishing
The Reckoning by Eric Enck
This is a bone chilling horror author that at times managed to make me sick at my stomach.
Brenda was pretty normal up until the day her father, John, kicked her mother, Sylvia, in the stomach causing a miscarriage. Then John walks into her room on a drunken night and rapes her, never even offering apologies. That is when the voices started in her head, commanding her to kill and drink the blood of the victims. It would protect her mother from the every day beatings of her good for nothing father, as well as help transform her into the vampire she fantasizes about.
The VIOLATOR was on a killing spree, murdering adults and children alike. One kill was just never enough it always wanted more. The blood of babies tasted especially sweet so when the Violator killed and ate little Billy; his blood was ecstasy.
But one day after numerous killings the Violator makes the worst mistake of its life. Killing an innocent girl with a vampire for a father; is not a good idea by any means. Especially when the vampire wants to seek revenge on the murderer of his only child. The Violator was trapped with no where to run and no one to help because the whole town of Carper Falls had died that night by the hands of a raging Vampire.
When Brenda thought she was getting closer to eternal life by each kill, she really had no idea how close she was living to death. Just right across the street.
Mr. Enck is an amazing story teller. This story was masterfully written and had each detail printed to the bone. I will never forget reading this book. It actually kept me awake at night thinking that this could actually happen. The Violator could be some kid right up the street from me. I have to award Mr. Enck 5 bloody hearts, because I loved this book. Also I'm afraid if I don't there's gonna be a man with scary silver eyes knocking on my door.

Forever Yours by Janmarie Anello *print book*
Forever Yours by Janmarie Anello
The power of just one kiss could make a rugged, loner, who never wished for a wife or family fall in love. Jagger Remington knew that one kiss would never be enough with Sophie Treneham.
Sophie's reputation had long been soiled by the town from having a child out of wedlock, but she did not give a care to the wind. She was bound and determined to make it on her own; she needed no dependence on a man for any reason. Sophie's whole world changed when her brother Stephen, the Earl tricked her into signing betrothal documents.
Then along came Jagger Remington to claim his prize. Little did he know she was not going to give in to marriage to a pirate looking man so easily. As head strong as Sophie is she had a few conditions to the marriage before she would even consider marrying Jagger.
Could Jagger live in the confines of this home knowing she is untouchable? Sophie is his wife after all but can he resist the temptation of this mahogany haired angel that has stolen his heart?
Ms. Anello is spellbinding with this book Forever Yours. I was enthralled from the very start. It was like being on a roller coaster, there were ups and downs and twists along every corner. Witch by Midnyte Dupree *e-book*
Witch by Midnyte Dupree
Demons and Witches could sure stir up some heat in this erotic e-book by Midnyte Dupree.
Isabella knew she was going to be sacrificed on Halloween by the High Priestess, Rita, if she didn’t find a way out of the small room she was confined to. Why did she have to be so pure and have no family that would worry if she perished? When Isabella was given a piece of parchment with a spell scrawled on it, she knew it was her only hope; she must try and escape death.
Hawk was a master Demon who fell in love with an image of Isabella, who knew she would just fall into his realm one day and be his for the taking. He knew Isabella was to be his Queen from the moment he laid eyes on her. She was the light to his darkened soul and one way or another he would have her. Lust drove him mad with want but she was pure and untouched.
Isabella is faced yet again with her enemy Rita just as the shadow invades her body to help her powers grow. Isabella must destroy Rita before she meets her own demise. But when Rita tells Isabella that the man she is lusting for is a Demon; will Isabella still harbor wanton feelings for this man? Or can she banish all naughty thoughts of him from her soul?
Ms. Dupree has written an erotic tale that will set your panties on fire! The sexual scenes were incredibly written with amazing skill. I was pulled right into this story from the beginning. I only wish it could have gone longer. But I am very excited to read Peter’s story. I gladly award Ms. Dupree’s Witch 5 hearts. This is a must read for all you erotica lovers out there.

Silent Grief by Clara Hinton *print book*
Silent Grief by Clara Hinton
When the subject of miscarriage, or child loss of any type comes up; why do people just try and avoid talking about what happened? Doctors, friends, and even family that are supposed to be there through everything to support you can even seem to turn you away, only saying two words that break your heart, "I'm Sorry." When you need comfort and consoling more now than ever, it seems like you're left all alone to grieve by yourself.
Just looking to find a way to help mothers, fathers, or anyone who has suffered from child loss; Clara Hinton writes about her own experiences. Going from the pain of miscarriages to still birth and beyond, Ms. Hilton explains how to turn to God as he will always be there to comfort you when no one else seems to care.
I needed tissues while reading this book. I have also had a miscarriage and it tore me apart. I constantly blamed myself for not being able to carry the child and felt that I had let my husband down. It is just a part of the grieving period and now that I have read Silent Grief, I feel a little more at peace knowing that there have been people in the same situation. Blaming yourself and silently cursing God for the death of your child is natural actually, but if you continue to have faith in Him then your life will turn out as it should be.
Anyone man or woman, should read this book if you've suffered through child loss of any kind. It is written with hands of experience and love that can help you through one of the toughest times in your life. I honestly wish I had this book through my "dark time" as I call it because it would have helped me so much.
This book will remain on my keeper shelf and I will gladly recommend it to anyone that could use a friend in their time of need. Ms. Hinton gets 5 hearts and huge hugs from me!

The Eye Of Alloria by Rae Lindley *print book*
The Heir to the Orland throne is horribly ill and may not live long enough to take over as Queen. Saron, King of Orland will do whatever it takes to save the life of his one and only daughter; even travel the universe in search of a cure. When a small voice whispers there is hope, Saron does not hesitate to board his ship in search of the voice promising to restore life to his daughter, Saria.
When the ship crashes onto Alloria Moon home of the Elven world; Saron as well as his guards are very sceptical of this new species of people. He knew as soon as he laid eyes on Mellinia, Saria's life would be in good hands. Little did he know the side effects that would come with curing his little girl.
Mellinia warns Saron of the Auran's; creatures that strive on war and destruction; as they are off to destroy his world as they speak. The creatures are ruthless and are sure to not spare any from death. Saron must return home to Orland to save his wife Jacina and his kingdom from the Aurans. But when Mellinia has to uproot the Elven world and transport them to Orland in escape of the Aurans, Jacina can feel Mellinia's connection and attraction to Saron. Which in turn makes out for a pretty nasty argument between the King and his wife.
Both Saron and Mellinia know the only true peace will come when Orland and Alloria heirs unite in marriage. The Eye of Alloria must be protected at all costs. But when a former guard agrees to help the Aurans obtain the Eye, a most precious life will be lost.
This story was well written in sort of a futuristic sci-fi aspect. It was most enjoyable towards the middle when the events became more exciting. The book was also well illustrated by the author, I think that brings the story more to life. I would have liked to have a little more drama in the beginning of the story as it was kind of hard to get into. But once you got to the middle then it was a definite page turner. I award Ms. Lindley 3 hearts for her book The Eye Of Alloria.

One Evening In London by Rae Lindley *print book*
One Evening In London by Rae Lindley
Love at first sight was a saying that Paul hardly believed in, until he met Angela's alluring gaze across the crowded room of a book promotion party; one evening in London. With mixed feelings about approaching her, he thought he might as well suck it up because this could be his one and only chance.
Angela knew this man was all wrong for her. For goodness sake he was still married! And lets just say for the record her past relationships were not on the up and up. She almost married a man that was still with his wife and she would not travel down that road again.
Paul was obviously attracted to Angela but they agreed to be friends because it was just the wrong time in both their lives. But a year later when their paths cross again, feelings for one another come rushing back. Angela did everything in her power to deny being in love with Paul, but her stubborn heart would not listen. After pushing him away is there any way she can pull him back into her embrace and get him off that airplane?
I believe Ms. Lindley is a wonderful writer with unimaginable skill. She could put so many events and detail in such a short story but still make it enjoyable. I thought this story was a romance I won't soon forget. I award One Evening In London 4 hearts.

Ms. Quinn has stolen my heart with this story. Her characters came to life and event was in amazing detail. I knew I would enjoy this book from the beginning, in no way was I disappointed. Ms. Quinn is a masterful storyteller and I highly recommend picking this story up. Just make sure you have a box of tissues handy because it's a tear jerker. I think Love truly is a challenge so I award Ms. Quinn 5 hearts.
