Derrick Booker, is accused of murdering his girlfriend Amanda Peterson. The evidence was found int the backseat of Derrick;s car, so the police did not continue to search for clues to prove his innocence. That is where Jim Knighthorse comes in.
Cocky, conceded, and very sure of himself, Private Investigator, Jim Knighthorse dreams of playing professional football in the NFL. His dreams were shattered when his leg got busted up in a game. It was then that he decided to apprentice under his father, Cooper Knighthorse and become a Private Investigator.
Jim began delving for information to clear Derrick Booker of the murder accusations after he was shot and threatened to remove himself from the case. That alone proved Derrick was not the killer. Along with trying to find Amanda's true murderer, Jim's father gives him pictures that may help find the person responsible for his own mother's murder as well.
Jim seemed to always have the upper hand. Who knew in the end that the person guilty gave him most of the information to bring the killer down? The NFL is still an option for Jim, but is his girlfriend and career enough to keep him happy; or must he still chase that boyhood dream?
Mr. Hargrove is a talented writer of Suspense and Mystery. I honestly could not put this novel down; I stayed up well into the night just to discover a very shocking ending. The only fault I could find was, the story is told in first person but it takes four chapters to find out the name of the story teller.I think the main characters name is a must for the beginning of a book.
Unfinished Business is full of mystery, lies and twists around each corner. This novel was exciting as well as thrilling; a must for mystery lovers. This book contains adult language but if not for that it would be a great series for young adults. I look forward to reading more novels in the Jim Knighthorse mystery collection. 4 hearts.

The Frugal Editor: Put Your Best Book Forward to Avoid Humiliation and Ensure Success by Carolyn Howard-Johnson
Carolyn Howard-Johnson has compiled a book full of useful information that could help each and every author or aspiring author out there. The Frugal Editor would also be great for a book reviewer to add to their collection.
Included inside this bright green eye catching cover you will find gremlins, (not the ones from the movie) very clever guys bent on chaos--are always at work throughout the entire publishing process, and how to work around them. This book is full of helpful guidelines one could use to improve your writing as well as possibly saving money.
If you are an author and decide to hire an editor; which after reading this I would recommend, you could possibly save money by having the key points editors look for already mended. Also when choosing an editor, try to find one with experience as new editors may overlook something that a senior editor may spot a mile away.
One thing that helped me most in this book is the section on punctuation. I am a comma addict and I freely admit it. Carolyn Howard-Jones explains the correct usage as well as position for comma's, colons, semi-colons and so on.
I would recommend The Frugal Editor to anyone thinking about a career in writing, this would be great college or even high school reference material. I honestly expected to just read guidelines and how to's but was pleasantly surprised at some of the antics and humor Carolyn threw in to keep the book interesting.
Ms. Howard-Johnson knows what she is talking about and is as witty as they come. I thoroughly enjoyed reading The Frugal Editor: Put Your Best Book Forward to Avoid Humiliation and Ensure Success. I know this book is not going to get much shelf time as it will be right by my computer, and every time that I go to write a review I will probably turn to The Frugal Editor to make sure my punctuations are all in the right spot. 5 hearts.

The Doctor's Daughter by Donna MacQuigg *print book*
Rebeccah Randolph had no desire to travel from England to uncivilized Santa Fe just to respect and honor her mother's dying wish. Even pleading with her Grandmother telling her that she is engaged could not sway the plans laid out for her. Rebeccah wanted to remain in England and marry Edward, the man she thought she truly loved. She had no choice but to go to Santa Fe for a year to teach Mexican children English, as well as spend some time with the father that abandoned her, her sister and mother many years ago.
Colonel Sayer MacKlaren was the best known Indian fighter around, so when the good Doctor Randolph requested that he be the one to escort his daughters home safely, he couldn't refuse. Especially since rumors of the eldest daughter, Lydia's beauty swarmed about all of Santa Fe. When he arrived, he saw for himself; Lydia was quite pleasing to look at but she was nothing like her younger sister Rebeccah. Rebeccah stole his heart with her feisty temper and amazing beauty.
Spending every weekend together, Sayer taught Rebeccah how to ride a horse, fish and shoot a gun. As time passed the two began having feelings for one another; although each kept the words unspoken because Rebeccah was still engaged to another man. Rebeccah's fiance was nothing compared to her Colonel, she knew she must make a decision. Leave Santa Fe when the year is up and return to her betrothed, or find a way to stay with the Indian fighter and surrender her heart.
Just when Rebeccah is about to mail the letter to Edward containing the engagement ring and an explanation, her Grandmother shows up to return the two girls back to England. Sayer is still out looking for clues that the attackers may have left when they left him for dead. Can he return home in time to stop the love of his life from leaving on the train from Santa Fe?
The Doctor's Daughter is an amazing Historical Western Romance full of adventure and vigor. Love awaits where you least expect it, but once it's found there is no turning back. Beautifully detailed characters, and exciting and dangerous events will keep you turning the pages. The book easily make me loose all track of time, from the beginning I was enthralled. I knew this would be a book I would fall in love with, and I could not wait to read what would happen next.
Ms. MacQuigg is an author that we will be hearing a lot about in the future. She is a master storyteller and I can assure you that her Historicals are not to be missed. The Doctor's Daughter is a book all Romance lovers should have on their shelf, I know it has found a permanent place on mine. This book is a remarkable read so it deserves no less than 5 stars, but more if I could give them.

Leonardo's Shadow: Or, My Astonishing Life As Leonardo da Vinci's Servant by Christopher Grey *print book*
Giacomo has no recollection of his past since the day he fell from the top of Milan's Cathedral. Thank goodness Leonardo da Vinci was there to rescue him from the fall as well as the mob chasing him. That is how Giacomo came to be Leonardo's servant...pure chance.
Leonardo da Vinci is contracted by the Duke of Milan, to paint the most amazing mural that eyes will ever behold; The Last Supper. It has been almost two years since the first brush stroke, and not many more have been made since then. The Duke grows tired of waiting and warnes da Vinci that the painting must be done by Easter for the Pope, and if not then he will hire Michelangelo to finish the Last Supper. The Duke also lays threat to Giacomo, and if the information is not reported to the Duke within a week, who knows what lay in wait for poor Giacomo.
Giacomo seeks answers from his Master, regarding his past, his parents, and the three items he had the day Leonardo saved him. But to no avail his Master will not speak. There are secrets hidden that will surface all in due time. When the carriage bearing the same emblem as the medallion Giacomo has passes in front of him, he grows even more curious of his past.
Can Giacomo betray his Master to the Duke in hopes of saving himself from a beating as well as find the answers he most desperately seeks? Or will he be true to Leonardo da Vinci and suffer the consequences? Giacomo seeks many answers throughout this book, come and discover what secrets he may find.
Mr. Grey captivates me with the extraordinary characters painted in this book. Leonardo's Shadow was an experience in the life of Leonardo da Vinci's servant that I am sure not to forget. All through this book there were twists and turns that will keep you biting your nails and on the edge of your seat.
Mr. Grey deems Leonardo's Shadow: Or, My Astonishing Life as Leonardo da Vinci's Servant a fantasy book for Young Adults, but I enjoyed it very much. It could easily be enjoyed by adults as well. I think Christopher Grey deserves 5 hearts, because I know a lot of research and heart went into this book.

Somebody's Lover : Three Sensual Tales by Jasmine Haynes *print book*
Get ready to be scorched by these tantalizing erotic short stories. I will give a little teaser of each story but you will not know what you're missing if you don't go and get your own copy of Somebody's Lover.
Somebody's Lover:
Forbidden love is always the sweetest. In this story Taylor has been widowed for three years and craves sexual attention only a man can give. She attempts the bar scene at Saddles N Spurs dressed unlike anything she has ever done before. She was all hookered out looking for a guy to give it up for a one night stand.
Little did she know that she would attract Jace, her brother-in-law, of all people. After proving she was a woman who had needs by kissing Jace in the cab of his truck; they knew one kiss would never be enough. Secret meetings and phone calls could not measure to the physical touch of Jace's working man hands.
It is all so wrong but it feels so right. Can the family accept Taylor and Jace's relationship, considering the guilt of Lou's death?
Somebody's Ex:
David Jackson needed change in his life; he planned to quit the family business because he needed some time to himself. He still had not gotten over the death of his brother, or the scene he witnessed weeks ago between his brother and sister-in-law.
That is until love literally fell right in front of him. Her name was Randi and she was the most beautiful thing David had ever seen. She couldn't cook to save her life, but she was a wildcat in the bedroom. Caviar paste sure could hold tons of possibilities.
Both had pasts that were long from forgotten, but together they could over come anything. With David's help Randi stood up to her father and would come to realize she truly was special; and in turn Randi would help David through the stress of his brother, Lou's, death.
Somebody's Wife:
Connie was tired of going without sex, and she desperately wanted another baby. The problem was her penny pinching worrywart husband, Mitch. Connie even bought sex toys to entice him and spice up their love life, in hopes of getting what she wanted. And boy oh boy did those toys light a fire, but not enough to change Mitch's mind.
Connie thought all was well and she was going to bring the baby subject up again, until she caught Mitch checking her birth control pack to make sure she was taking the pills every day. Mitch confessed he did not want another child and then Connie threw the word divorce at him.
Connie wanted a healthy happy sex life, no more going two months without so much as a single touch. She also wanted to be a happy family again, but she was just tired of being somebody's wife. She wanted much more.
These three erotic short stories are positively one of the most touching collections I have ever read. One minute you're hot, ready to pull your lover into the bedroom and have a nice romp in the hay; then the next minute you're grabbing for tissues as tears roll down your face.
Ms. Haynes had me from the very first page. If I had to choose one word to describe her writing style, I couldn't! There are many words that would fit, Extraordinary, Fantastic, Remarkable, and most defiantly HOT! All you erotica lovers out there, this is the book for you! Warning though, you will be turned on while reading Somebody's Lover; so make sure you've got a lover on standby because you're gonna need them! 5 Hearts all the way to Jasmine Haynes!!!!

It Must Be Magic by Jennifer Skully *print book*
Erika Rutland, Lili's neighbor visits one afternoon to see if Lili can find out what is bothering Fluffy, Erika's cat. Taken aback, Lili discovers that Fluffy witnessed a murder in the woods surrounding their homes. Lili could not tell Erika the truth so she decided to tell a little white lie to get her by, no harm done...yet.
Tanner Rutland wanted Lili from the first moment he laid eyes on her. She was not just a casual sex kind of girl in his book. She was everything he ever wanted, but she was a little on the strange side; talking to animals and such. One kiss and he was hooked, he would go to the moon and back for this woman. He still had not fully gotten over the death of his wife, but when he met Lili it became a little easier to move on.
Tanner discovered the body in the woods, now the big question was; what was Lili hiding from him? Thoughts began running through his head, could she have committed the murder and then made up the story about Fluffy seeing it, did she stumble upon the body while taking a walk? He honestly did not believe she could talk to animals but every time he went to confront her, he became weak with want for her.
Can Mr. Levelheaded logical man see the truth in Lili's gift? Will Erika ever get the mother she is pining for? What is crazy Ms. Dreadlock's meaning to God will punish you? So many questions that need answers, but you must read this book to find out.
Ms. Skully has magically written a wonderful romance story that will warm your heart. This story border lines on erotica but is very tastefully written. Her characters were easy to fall in love with, and the whole story line just keeps you wondering what will be coming next. I recommend this book to anyone looking for a little Magic in life. 5 hearts for It Must Be Magic by Jennifer Skully

Death Of A Vampire God by Jean Elizabeth Walczak and David W. Lucas *print book*
Evelynn Goddess of the vampires tells her story about how she came to be the Queen of the Night. Evelynn did not want to be a vampire, but her life was stolen from her and she can never get it back, she is damned to eternal life. When Drake is to awaken and rule the Vampire Nation again, Evelynn is beside herself with grief.
One night after Evelynn performed a safety ritual, a burnt shadow of a man appears warning her that the vampire will take the child. The man appears from time to time through the story, he seems familiar to Evelynn but in the beginning she can not place where she knows the shadowed figure from.
Eighteen years after becoming an orphan at the hands of a vampire, Lance meets the man responsible for his parents deaths. Nixon appeared and began to tell Lance his parents had to die so that Lance could live to carry on with an important destiny; to put an end to all vampires.
But there was a lot of training that must be done and time was running short.
A war between the God of Werewolves and Drake God of Vampires has been raging for years and it will be a race to see if Lance can get to Drake and destroy him before Lord Schneider does.
A hunter after Lance makes the journey more difficult than it should be, but will the road needing to be traveled become too difficult?
Ms. Walczak and Mr. Lucas have written a spellbinding story that captivates the reader. The beginning was confusing for me, I could not tell who was telling the story at first. But as the story progressed it got much better and had me enthralled. This story has a way of thinking you know what is coming next, but your guesses are always wrong. This book was a pleasure to read and I think it is worthy of 4 hearts.

Lady Gabriella by Donnette Smith *Print Book* Coming Soon
In the late 1700's a King fell in love with a mistress named Gabriella, he gave her a beautiful stone encased inside of a locket. When the king discovered Gabriella sleeping with another man he had both of them killed for the betrayal. The stone is said to reach into its owners heart, bringing to life their deepest desire.
Nicole Valentine lived a life of abuse from her mother and neglect from her father. Her mother found one reason to kick her out of the house for good and she did just that, convincing Nicole's father that she had betrayed him. Nicole was left to find her own way in the world at such a young age, who knew she would turn out to be a successful journalist.
Returning home after eleven years seemed foreign to Nicole; but she had to be there for the reading of her father's will. Her father died of prostate cancer, so it seemed fitting that he left his entire fortune to The Fight For Cancer Foundation. That infuriated her mother, but not nearly as much as what was left to Nicole.
Detective Bay Dalton was paid to seduce Nicole and find the whereabouts of the locket, it was never in the deal to fall in love with her. Investigating this case seemed to be full of secrets; Nicole's birth mother was not the evil mother she lived with all those years, and her birth father was actually her uncle.
Everyone wanted to get their hands on the Lady Gabriella, no matter whose life was at stake. When Bay was shot, Nicole only thought the worst. There was no way the man she loved would come walking to her ever again. Is there a happy ending to this story? When all the secrets start to leak out it all begins to make sense to Nicole. Her whole life had been a lie.
Ms. Smith's novel Lady Gabriella was a joy to read, it was full of mystery, romance, and a couple of unexpected twists. It seemed odd for me to believe that the Detective could behave the way he did toward a client in the beginning. He should have tried to earn her trust first instead of trying to seduce her the very moment they met. I recommend this novel to anyone looking for a good read. 4 Hearts is the perfect rating for Lady Gabriella.

Bitternest by Alan Draven *print book*
The town of Bitternest somehow contracted the avian virus leading the population to dwindle down to almost nothing. Well that is if you are basing that on the humans. Bitternest is over run with vampire half breeds know as blood mongers, children of the night; vicious little children out for blood, one evil shape shifting woman, and what is left of the few pure blood vampires, including a clown vampire.
Detective Graves is contacted by Cyrus, the leader of the Vampire Circle. Cyrus wants to form an alliance with the humans in order to rid the world of the blood mongers. Detective Graves sees that there is no other choice but to try and trust the vampires in hopes of saving what is left of Bitternest. The death toll is rapidly rising so something must be done quickly, or else the world will be swarming with blood mongers and children of the night.
This review is short and to the point I know, but I am not about to give anymore of this story away! You will have to go and pick up a copy for yourself. This is one of the best Vampire books I have read, so I suggest you get your own copy of Bitternest soon.
Mr. Draven is a very talented and phenomenal horror/mystery writer. His story captivated me from the very beginning, I knew once I started there was no stopping me. This book was thrill to read, I never knew what was going to happen next. Alan Draven scores 5 hearts for his tremendous book Bitternest.

Negro In Nam My Father's Story by Michael Bernoudy *print book* Reviewed for Blu Phier Publishing
Michael Bernoudy Jr. recounts the days of his father's three tours in Vietnam in this book. It talks about the segregation of blacks and whites back in the late 60's and what it was like for a black man to fight in the war.
Whites discriminating against the blacks, Asian women offering themselves to the soldiers no matter their race, was a new experience as well. There are many things that Michael Bernoudy Sr. experiences in this book that some of us could never fathom.
Attempted suicide, alcholism, and a one ambush that will forever change Michael Bernoudy Sr. keeps this story moving. Michael Sr. falls into a new dimension and truly believes a girl named Ming Ling trains him in hopes of helping the Tiger Claws destroy the emperor The Purple Dragon.
From the start Michael Bernoudy Jr. tells the readers that this story is from the events his father Michael Sr. told him. The events may or may not be true, it is for the reader to decide. I honestly don't believe some of the events but I was not in Vietnam so this could very well hold some truth to the stories Michael Sr. swears upon.
I think this book was an interesting read, if the events were untrue then Mr. Bernoudy was a very good story teller. I think this was an okay story but it seems that it is written more for the older generation that are also war Veterans. I honestly don't know if I would read this book again as it did not pull me in to the story as much as I had hoped.
Mr. Bernoudy Jr. is an excellent writer and must have a great memory to recount the story his father told him. Mr. Bernoudy Jr. has a knack for writing but maybe another genre would suite him better, fantasy would be perfect I think. I say this book is a 3 heart read, some others may love this book, but it was just not right for me.

Erinsong by Diana Groe *print book*
Brenna, princess of Donegal thought he was the most beautiful man she had ever seen. He lay on the sandy shore of Donegal with only a cask by his side; but when he sprang to life grabbing Moira's wrist, Brenna speared him in the thigh. It was then Brenna realized he was a Northman and knew she was in real trouble. Northmen were nothing but raiders and pillagers, the sight of him also brought back a horrid memory of her past. She vowed that another Northman would never make her cry again.
Waking to searing pain, he had no recollection of who or where he was. All he knew was this saucy wench had made him into a pin cushion. Life or death stared upon him when Brian, King of Donegal, offered to spare his life if the cask was filled with ale. If not then he was sure to meet the hangman's gallows.
Brenna could not keep her eyes off this Northman, he was earning the respect of her father and her as well by repairing her mother's broken chair, and then saving Moira from the hands of rogue Northmen. With that an arranged marriage was born and Brenna could no longer hide the secrets of her past.
Memories began to flitter back to the Northman Brenna had named Keefe Murphy. He still had no recollection of a wife or family; he just knew that he must travel to Dublin in search of answers. After the attack on Moira, Keefe discovered his real name was Jorand and he recognized the faces of the Northmen. Bringing his still virgin wife with him, Brenna confessed her past to Jorand.
Dublin held secrets all right, both were in for a rude awakening, especially when Brenna meets Jorand's first wife. Can Brenna ever trust Jorand enough to share her body with him as well as her heart? Love finds its way to the couple, but in the end Love was there from the very start, they were just too blind to see it. What will become of the marriage between Brenna and Jorand when a traitor plans an attack on the unsuspecting Northmen?
Ms. Groe has written an exquisite historical romance set in Ireland that melts your heart. Beautifully described characters and events will keep your heart pounding and your fingers turning the pages. Romance written through Diana Groe's eyes is heartfelt and very much worth reading. I don't hesitate at all to award 5 hearts to Diana Groe for her book Erinsong.

Nina by Liz De Jesus *print book*
When artists paint with their heart a little bit of soul can cross the boundaries and imbed itself into their creation. That is exactly what happened in Nina's case.
Rachel Ramirez could not bare children of her own, so she began to paint pictures of what she thought her children may have looked like if she were able to have them. And so Nina was created. Rachel poured her heart and soul into Nina thus giving Nina life.
Nina wanted to tell her creator that she was alive inside the painting but never got the chance. Rachel let the hurt of not having children kill her on the inside, so she committed suicide to escape the suffering of disappointment. Nina could feel the breath of death but had no idea what truly happened until the day she was taken from her home.
Anna was Rachel's friend and sought out to purchase a painting in remembrance of her. Nina was elated to be away from Rachel's mother's house and hanging above the couch in Nina's home. One day a man claiming to have car trouble tried to rape Anna, Nina jumped out of her painting running to Anna's rescue.
From that day forward Nina experienced life as a normal human. She had her first taste of chocolate, met her first friends, went to her first party (which was not a happy experience), and even fell in love. One thing she had wanted to do since seeing the picture of the Eiffel Tower was go to Paris and see it in person before she had to leave this world.
One year was all Nina had before she must experience the Explosion Of Life, and leave this world to be reborn. What will happen when the time comes that she must say goodbye? Nina may be gone from this world for now but she will never be forgotten. Anna was pregnant after all.
Liz De Jesus is an author who captivates you. Seeing and experiencing through her characters eyes was incredible. This story is very detailed and a true joy to read. I was impressed with the sci-fi/realist approach taken to enthrall a reader. It was a Science Fiction story but the actual every day human details made it seem very real to me. The ending kind of threw me off a little bit, but the book was beautiful put together. 4 hearts and my recommendation should make you want to go get your own copy of Nina today.

Luciano by Anastasia Rabiyah *e-book*
Audrey fell in love with Greece the moment she visited the little family restaurant, not because of the food, but because of Luciano. He was the epitome of sex; strong, beautiful and very masculine. There was something special and different about Luciano that drew Audrey to him.
It took her a year to build up the courage to return to Greece in search of her beautiful Luciano. She knew she was in love with him, and if given the chance this time she would be forever held in Luciano's muscular embrace. Luciano was just the man that could promise forever, all she needed to do was enjoy the lovemaking on the beach and she would get her wish.
Fangs glinted in the moonlight but Audrey was unafraid, she still wanted this man more than anything and by Gods she was going to have him, vampire or not. She was in love with Luciano for who he was, not what he was. Although in the end the two will not be that much different.
Anastasia Rabiyah has done it again with an extremely hot little e-book short. The characters throw themselves at one another to experience true erotic pleasure. The steamy sex scenes will make you want to find your own Grecian vampire! I know if I ran into someone like Luciano I would accept the dark gift with no questions asked as long as the sex stayed as hot as the very first time. Ms. Rabiyah has a gift for writing tantalizing stories in such few words, but they have a way of scorching you all over. I think Luciano alone deserves 5 hearts, so if you want a hot vampire teaser then this is the story for you.

Falling Roses by Rosemarie Piemonte *print book*
Lying in a hospital bed comatose for two months, fourteen year old Gabriella awakens to Johnny Ravolie by her side. Why would her favorite rock star be sitting right beside her in her hospital room? This is only the beginning of strange events yet to come.
Upon waking Johnny and Gabriella only have a short time together. The last moment they share in that hospital room, Johnny professes his love to Gabriella. Before leaving with a retched woman, he promises to come back to Gabriella if she promises to wait for him. She must also promise to keep the secret of his love to herself so he is not locked up for her being underage.
When Johnny's psychotic ex-girlfriend starts threatening a pregnant Gabriella and even has a few successful kidnapping attempts, Johnny and Gabriella never give up hope that they will be together forever. Bernadette is cold and all around wretched, she tries to kill Gabriella every chance she gets. Will she ever succeed in burying her competition?
Johnny is not always innocent Gabriella soon finds out; he seems to be a ladies man. Constantly explaining himself to Gabriella, she begins to question his fidelity to her. One night she grabbed a pizza and a few groceries to surprise Johnny; he's so surprised that he can barely pull his pants on. Especially since there is another woman in bed with him.
Gabriella finds comfort in the arms of another man that night, her friend J.J welcomes her with open arms. But this one night will be the mistake that will haunt her and may very well ruin what future Johnny and she may have together. What will Johnny say when he finds out the truth about his son Robbie?
Romance, love, mystery, drama, and a one night stand are all compiled into this beautifully written book. Rosemarie Piemonte captures perfectly the feelings of a young girl in love, that has experienced a very eventful young adult life. I had a hard time seeing the innocence of Gabrielle as she appeared much older than fourteen by her actions, but if you're in love you will go any where and do anything to be with the one you love. I fell in love with Fallen Roses, this is most definitely near the top of my favorites list.
If you are looking for a love story with a lot of kick, then this is the book for you. Ms. Piemonte is an exceptional storyteller. I could go on and on about this book; but I don't want to give too much away, you must read this for yourself. It rightfully earns 5 hearts and I am sure to be reading this one again!

Bride From The Black Lagoon by Dara Edmondson *e-book*
Jodi Bentley wanted the finer things in life like an outrageous Cashmere sweater she knew she could never afford on a teachers salary. Who would it hurt to apply for one more credit card? Jodi didn't realize that it would actually hurt her and Kip her fiance. Especially if people began showing up to repossess everything they own.
Kip just happened to open the mail one evening and was completely shocked at the balances on Jodi's credit cards. Something had to be done about the way Jodi could just throw money away, at least until Kip got his big break as an actor.
Jodi came up with the idea to enter the television game show Bride From The Black Lagoon. The game show tests the engaged couple on their skills to provide for each other as well as children. The grand prize is one hundred thousand dollars; that was enough to pay off Jodi's debt then have left over for their wedding...if they stay together that is.
Upon arriving on Black Lagoon Island and meeting Evan the producer, and Sky the production assistant; the couple thought they were in good hands. Temptation has a way of tearing lovers apart, and this story is no exception. Sky is around every corner throwing herself on Kip, when Evan is trying his best to seduce Jodi. No one ever said this would be part of the game. Can Jodi and Kip overcome the temptations clutches or will they fail and lose the prize money?
Ms. Edmondson is an excellent story teller, I was hooked from the very beginning. Her characters had wonderful personality, I just wish a better picture of their faces were painted for me. With that aside, this story was very pleasing to read. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a little romance and mystery to satisfy their sweet tooth. Ms. Edmondson also throws a thrilling little twist into the mix that brings the story even more to life. This is a 4 heart read for sure.

Two Boys In Love by Lawrence Schimel *print book* Reviewed for Seventh Window Publications
Two Boys In Love is a collection of short, erotic, romantic, gay male stories of finding love.
Some of the stories are quite believable as others are truly fairy tale.
My favorite stories were The Book Of Love, Marchen To A Different Beat, and The Night Is Young. Each story was very unique, the love that blossoms between strangers in The Book Of Love was very sweet as each man thought to be a Secret Admirer. I liked it the most because it brings back the sort of mystery and chase of love. Scoping one another out from book vendor to book vendor and when all is thought to be lost, the two come together in a surprise ending.
This book drifts from couples that want to experience threesomes to the witch that hires a poor farm boy so that he can pay off the debt of a love potion to attract the man he longs to be with. There is never a dull moment while reading this book, before you know it you've reached the very last page wanting more.
Mr. Schimel is an extraordinary writer of gay M/M erotica and romance. His work was very pleasing to read as the words just flowed perfectly from one story to the next. If you are looking for a great summer beach read, then Two Boys In Love is the book for you. I give Lawrence Schimel 4 hearts for his wonderful collection of short stories.

Healing Words by Alyce Hendrickson *print book*
Healing Words is a book that houses a variety of life experiencing poetry. Alyce Hendrickson writes about many things such as failing or dysfunctional relationships, her family, animals, accepting faith and my favorite section, Surviving.
A few poems that stood out for me were titled, A Child's Need, Winter Of My Heart and Serenity. Each were very special and I could tell that Ms. Hendrickson needed a way to vent her own problems along with trying to help others.
A Child's Need was most importantly special to me being a new mother. I agree with Ms. Hendrickson, how can someone hurt and an innocent little child when all it requires is the love from its parents or in some cases care givers. This world has change much in the passing years, abuse and violence is more prominent and children seem to be cast aside like old rags.
Ms. Hendrickson paints a picture of her life with this book of poetry. I could associate a few experiences with her and it always helps knowing that you're not alone. The poetry was heartfelt and well written. It started out kind of hard to grab my attention because I have never had an emotional attachment to animals, but as I progressed into the life experiences I enjoyed it very much. I give Ms. Hendrickson 3.5 hearts for her lovely book of poetry.

The Price Of Temptation by MJ Pearson * Reviewed for Seventh Window Publications
Stephen Clair wanted nothing of his new inherited title as Earl Of St. Joseph bestowed on him after the death of his elder brother Robert. Stephen made horrible mistakes squandering money, and the creditors bills kept him from paying his staff when it was due each quarter. That is until a young man named Jamie Riley showed up on his doorstep ready to care for the children. Jamie had no idea that Robert, his wife and children were all killed out to sea. Stephen felt he owed the boy as much to give him the job of Secretary, but if Stephen was not careful he would end up throwing his heart into the deal as well.
Jamie Riley had a hidden past of his birth as well as the wanton feelings for the man who taught him as he was growing up; the vicar. Jamie wanted a fresh start after his mother passed away and decided to call upon the Earl of St. Joseph for the childcare position. When he discovered the horrible news, Jamie thought he had hit rock bottom. The new Earl was a beautiful man and as days progressed the Earl became fond of the little mouse, Jamie. But when Stephen planted a kiss on Jamie's soft lips, Jamie tried to deny the feelings he harbored for the Earl.
Stephen could not get Jamie out of his head, even when Julian, Stephen's lover was there to offer the Earl his body. When Julian thought that Stephen could be falling for Jamie, Julian pulled a few dirty little tricks to try and scare Jamie away. When Jamie is found missing from his room, Stephen is beside himself.
With no money for a better place to stay and no job to pay for food, what is going to happen to Jamie on the streets? With all of Julian's schemes will Stephen and Jamie ever have the chance to embrace one another again?
This book was a hot read, the M/M erotica was scorching! MJ Pearson knew exactly how to draw in a reader with the sensual, erotic descriptions of her characters. This is a Historical Erotic Romance that is pleasing to read even if you're not into the gay genre, maybe this one will change your mind. This book was very tastefully written and I am happy to award 4 hearts to Ms. Pearson for The Price Of Temptation.

Precedent Of Justice by Patrick R. Raley *print book* Reviewed for Blu Phier Publishing
Suspense, mystery, a touch of romance, and a whole lot of murder and secrets are what this story is all about.
When the wealthy Lafleur couple's murder was committed, Detective Charlie Peppers' life and career drastically changed. He was put on the case to find the murderer and the motive. It seems a lot of people had financial or business ties to the Lafleur's; but who would go so far as to murder them in cold blood?
Nancy Raults a reporter for the Times wanted this brutal story more than anyone, it is a good thing she had an informant that supplied her with the information she would need to find the Lafleur home. After throwing up dinner on the Lead Detectives shoes upon seeing the bodies, Nancy had no idea how close later down the road they would become. It could possible cost them both of their hard earned careers.
An obviously guilty man knew which strings to pull and favors to call in when he was arrested and tried for murdering the Lafleurs. When the murder weapon along with the other evidence came up missing and Mr. Dizorno was proven innocent; at that moment the crap hit the fan. All the secrets that the guilty parties were harboring would soon leak out.
With the help of someone Charlie trusted most, the murderer would be brought to justice. The sad thing is the murderer was actually guilty of the first crime committed but innocent in the second accusation for another murder. How you ask? It is jaw dropping and heart pounding when the truth finally comes out.
Mr. Raley had my full attention from the very start. This story should be made into a movie, it would be topper on the box office charts for sure. Great detail and believable events proves that Mr. Raley has the skilled hands of a talented writer. When I got to the very last chapter of this book, my jaw literally dropped, a surprise ending caught me completely off guard. This is a 5 heart review all the way! Mystery/Suspense lovers out there need to add a copy of Precedent Of Justice to your library.
