Antonio Welshire just sixteen years of age, has committed more crime than imaginable. Slaughtering his abusive father, and knocking his mother out and leaving her to freeze to death in the winter outside was just the beginning. That was not the last murder Antonio committed, his Uncle who graciously took in him and his two adopted sisters met his demise along with Antonio's cousin Gaston. Antonio raped his cousin Romania, impregnating her; lucky for her she died in childbirth. But the child that was just born was snatched away and hidden, not to be found.
Young Gaston was the leader of the army threatening to over throw Antonio's royalties. He had no father that he knew of, only he did have a father; the man he was planning to kill. Pairing up with one of Antonio's daughters, Victoria could only assist in his take over. When Victoria returned to Gaston bearing the gift she received on her twenty-first birthday, he accepted the gift as Victoria saw fit to share it with him. Making him capable of the "dark tricks."
On the twenty-first birthday of all of Gaston's children brought into this world by both of his adopted sisters, Antonio's old friend Mestiphles shared immortality with all of them. In the future each child born to any of them would be vampires, they each also wielded the power to make more of their kind at will.
What will happen when Gaston and his new army of vampires storm the castle? When a vampire's life force drifts from its body and escapes into another, does that make the receiving vampire more powerful or will it haunt him forever? This story is all not blood and gore remind you, it ends with a wedding....mortal or immortal? You shall see
Kristin Battestella's novel The Vampire Family is exciting, bloody, and a has a little touch of romance. The story has an aura about it that captivates the reader, I did not want this story to end but found myself dying to know what would happen next. In my opinion the story needs to go through edits with a fine toothed comb one more time, there were typo's and a few other small mistakes that with correction and polishing would make this novel more close to perfection.
Ms. Battestella has the skill it takes to write a tale catering to most everyone's needs. I would recommend this book to horror lovers and romance lovers alike. 4 Hearts

Thanks For Giving by Donna Michaels *e-book*
Sarah had no idea what it would be like to see her ex-boyfriend Daniel for the first time in five years. Being at the airport was hard enough, with everyone so happy waiting to embrace their soldier in open arms. Sarah had no soldier to welcome home, her brother Tommy died while fighting in Operation Iraqi Freedom three years ago. Ever since then she has frowned upon the soldiers, because nothing would bring her brother back; anger was all she could feel.
Daniel was angry at his father for being a coward and having put Sarah in the predicament of bringing him back home. Father and son have not spoken for many years because of Daniel's choice to enter The Guards. But there was a reason George refused to talk to Daniel, he knew the kind of effect war could have on a person, he wanted to spare his son the grief.
Sarah knew there must be a way to get Hollenbeck's talking again, and she tried everything in her power. They were both too stubborn. Sarah's feelings for Daniel rushed back the moment his lips brushed hers, and it seemed he never fell out of the love he had for her after all this time. Sarah has been too hurt by Daniel, is there anyway she can open her heart up to him again and let all the anger toward The Guard drift away? Nothing will bring her brother back, but being with Daniel could help her let go.
Donna Michael's' novella Thanks For Giving is a refreshing romance that will positively give you goosebumps. The love between each and every character warms the readers heart, and proves that an old flame can reignite. I had a bit of an odd reaction to one part of the story, where Daniel proposes to Sarah, they have been separated for five years and only back together for a week. With all the feelings Sarah was feeling, I think it may have been too soon for such a big commitment.
The rest of the novella was very well written and not overly detailed, you could actually relate with Sarah, Daniel and George. I think this would be a fantastic read for Thanksgiving coming up, because the soldiers have risked their lives for us, and we should honor and Thank them any way possible. 4 Hearts

The Bride Wore Boots by JT Schultz *e-book*
Madison Bellini did not truly want to marry Edward Theodore Von Housen III, but it seemed she was being forced into it by everyone except her best friend. It was no secret that "Teddy" was no stranger to women, he even had another woman at his bachelor party. The thought of him made her nauseous, it was something her father said, that made her realize this wedding was not going to happen. She told Teddy, in front of all their family and the press, that he could have the other woman and hiked up her ten thousand dollar dress baring her well worn cowboy boots and high tailed it out of the church and across the border.
She sought out to meet the man that ruined her future. She had no idea that he was a breath taking cowboy. He was made for sex and she wanted him, and he wanted her just as bad. In her anger she had an accident, she drove off of the covered bridge, and luckily Ty Kirkland was there to rescue her from drowning. She kept muttering about marrying a cowboy and Ty used that to his advantage. When she woke momentarily, he realized she had lost her memory so he told her she was his fiancee in hopes of getting the contract with Madison's father that would change his families lives.
Madison didn't loose her memory but she thought she would play along with Ty's games, his family welcomed her with open arms and she actually began falling in love with Ty. Ty did not know Madison had her memory back so he went along with everything he had planned, except for giving away his heart.
The Bellini family and Teddy came to collect their daughter and fiancee from the Kirkland's and were they in for a rude awaking. Madison was staying with Ty. Only a crazed maniac could drag her away...and even that would not keep them apart. Can the two over come the web of lies each one has woven? Or will something more pressing, like the truth keep the two apart?
JT Schultz masterfully writes a humorous erotic romance novel that will have you laughing at one moment and biting on your nails the next. The erotic lovemaking scenes brought a whole new perspective to this already intriguing tale. The story line was fabulous, and the love from the Kirkland family was so real.
The Bride Wore Boots by JT Schultz is a must read. I loved the passion her characters wielded as well as the love that was put into this story by Ms. Schults. 5 Hearts all the way!

1225 Mistletoe Lane by Lenny Castellaneta *print book* sent to me in e-book format
Jim Carrelli was your average guy, early thirties, decent job as a High School English teacher, but he did have an emptiness in his life. There was no wife or girlfriend to come home to, only his elderly landlord Molly who has started taking on symptoms of being not right in the head. He loved this old woman though, each night he would say a prayer for her, what he didn't expect was to be the answer.
Galen, Jim's neighbor asked him a question one night while they were out having a drink together. If he could, would he do whatever was possible to save Molly from the accident? Jim barely hesitated answering yes. When Jim awoke from passing out he noticed something was not quite right. It was the year 1963, fifteen years before he was even born.
Notes from Galen are left for Jim a couple of times, but then when Nancy Edwards comes into Jim's life, nothing else matters. He has found love, too bad it was in a completely different time zone and he has not been one hundred percent truthful to the woman he proposes to marry. Only that will never happen, Molly's guardian angel Galen says that Jim must return to his time without Nancy.
But if it is possible to save Molly from the accident, what will happen when Jim returns to present day? Was this all a drunken dream and when he wakes, everything will be the same...Molly outside watering the grass making a mud pit? So close to love too bad it may be lost.....
Lenny Castellaneta pens a lovely Christmas time novella that is sure to get you in the Holiday Spirit. The story line is well written and very much enjoyable. 1225 Mistletoe Lane, started out slow for me because I couldn't see the significance of each character until Jim is teleported back in time. But once I met the younger versions of his friends as they helped him expose Richard's evilness toward children, I fell in love with this book.
As I reflect and write this review, I don't see anything wrong with this being classified as a young adult novel as well. I think this is just the story to read to anyone that will listen or even quitely to yourself while curling up with an old quilt and cup of hot chocolate. Lenny Castellaneta shows the reader, there is always someone to watch over you. 5 Hearts

Shahzar Warrior Queen by Anastasia Rabiyah *e-book*
Before a Queen could claim her hold on the throne, she must bring into this world another female child. The child must be sired by the Bishop, and he is not to spend the nights with the soon to be Queen or even have any fatherly rights. Shahzar was not yet Queen but she planned to change quite a few things once she was crowned, and even a couple rules changed before she bore her child.
Shahzar wanted to bring back the Dark Power that had been banished from Kaladia, only she was searching for something that was much more near than she thought possible; she only need look inside herself. Shahzar also had ideas of what love could be, but once she met the Bishop Raynier, she developed feelings for him but could not let them show.
Raynier professed his love to Shahazar the first night he was to lay with her and get her with child, that confession saved his life. Shahmi, Shahazar's uncle devised a plan to kill the priest in hopes of making Shahazar's plans for the Shan-Sei Temple able to go forward. But it was Shahmi that met his untimely death. And when Shahzar goes on a rampage seeking revenge with the Goddess Ishas on her side, King Tustin Aberwier will meet his slow, tortured death.
Shahzar has big plans for the Guild Counsel when she is crowned Queen, but she must birth a female child first, or will that also be something that is changed? There are many surprises that I look forward to in the next books to come of this series.
Anastasia Rabiyah ensorceles the reader with her fantasy novel Shahzar Warrior Queen, each and every character no matter how small was detailed and brought such life to this story. I loved that her main character went against each and every rule because she knew in her heart what must be done, no matter what the old traditions were. Such a strong willed woman but still soft and feminine enough to feel comfort in the arms of a man.
I loved reading this exciting, adventurous work of art. Then next book in the series is called Last Shan-Sei and I can not begin to tell you how excited I will be once that book is released. I look forward to following Queen Shahzar in her quests to rebuild her city. 5 Hearts

Annabelle's Courtship by Lucy Monroe *e-book*
Laird Ian MacKay, Earl of Greanfrea just got news that he did not really want to hear. His stepfather passed away leaving him a fortune that could help him with the tenants housing as well as other needs. There was a stipulation or two of course. Ian must marry within a year, it is not only to be a paper marriage, and his wife must be English. So Ian knew he must find someone to wed and quickly. He never intended to find love, or fall into love more like it.
Lady Annabelle scoffed at Ian's reasons for wanting to marry her. He wanted a non-beauty, spinster woman that would jump at the prospect of marrying an Earl. It seemed each time they spoke he ended up offending her in every way possible. But Annabelle was no weak spinster, she always let Ian know when he upset her. She began growing fond of the Earl but when he was spotted in the company of Miss Caruthers, jealousy ran deep in her veins.
Ian made it known to Annabelle that she would be his wife, whether she liked it or not. No matter how many times she refused, Ian would never give up. But what is going to happen when greedy William tries using blackmail to get Annabelle to marry him so that he can settle his debts? Is there any hope that Anabelle will marry the man she so stubbornly refuses to admit she loves? And what of Ian when he finds out that Annabelle is more richly endowed than he could ever dream?
Annabelle's Chance is a lovely historical romance based in Scotland and in London, England around the early 1800's. Lucy Monroe's strong characters and attention to Ian's Scottish dialect held me captive as I read this enchanting love story. There were a few twists in this novel that I did not see coming, but they added much excitement and adventure to an already entertaining tale. I look forward to reading more of Ms. Monroe's tantalizing historicals. 5 Hearts

Meagan's Chance by L.C. Monroe *e-book*
Sometimes Love just needs a little divine intervention....
Meagan O' Hare was on a sabbatical from work, trying to find out her place in life in a way when God stepped in and led her on the path to Adam McCallister's home. She had just about ran out the tank of gas when her tire blew. This was the very beginning of many divine interventions Meagan was about to face.
Adam McCallister, a professor at the University was in dire need of a new Nanny to care for his children on the impending interview he had in Chicago. When he walked into his home with a strange beautiful woman keeping watch over his two children he could not believe his eyes. The nanny agency knew he preferred older women instead of this young redheaded cover girl sitting in his kitchen.
It seemed God, a couple good friends and Adam's children all wanted Meagan and Adam to be a couple. Only the kids prayed for a Mommy and they hoped that Miss Meagan was the answer to their prayers. It seems Adam and Meagan do not have much in common....he is a scheduler and planner, and she is a free spirit open to wherever the next whim will take her. The do however have their faith, love for children, and the loneliness in their hearts that begs and pleads to be filled.
Both have had past marriages, and are truly scared of love. But when Meagan is fired, Adam will go to any lengths to get her back knowing she was the one for him, even if it takes him admitting his own mistakes. Meagan was unable to have children of her own, but can she stand possibly losing them for a second time if the relationship does not work out?
L.C. Monroe pens a romantic love story at its best. I can not count how many times tears trickled down my face while reading this story. Meagan's Chance is so purely written, it just is a nice story all around. The undying Faith for God, and the strong love between man and woman will melt your heart. I read this story in one day because it was impossible to stop reading, I felt myself so emotionally attached to the characters, like they were such close friends of mine.
Ms. Monroe has written a winner, its not everyday you run across such a smoothly written piece of romance that tugs at your heart strings. I must say that I am addicted to L.C. Monroe's works and will be adding more books to my TBR pile shortly. 5 Hearts

Dying To Live: a novel of life among the undead by Kim Paffenroth *print book*
The world has been taken over by the walking dead, some people call them flesh eating monsters, while the word, Zombie is more commonly used. Only a few living humans are left and they must ban together to repopulate and rebuild what is left of this Hell on Earth.
Jonah Caine knows his wife and child have crossed over to the side of the undead, he just prays he does not run across them only to slay their rotting corpses. Living in tree houses for nearly a year and foraging what he can from homes and stores seems to be working. When Jonah finds himself surrounded by the Zombies he fears the worst. Thank heavens someone was looking out for him and was prepared to risk the lives of others in order to save him.
Inside the Museum of Science and History was a community of the few survivors, they all opened their arms to Jonah and sooner than expected Jonah became comfortable with them as well. He made a few good friends like Jack, Sarah, Tanya, and the very strange but useful Milton. Milton possessed a gift, a gift that would possibly give everyone a chance at life....once again.
When Jonah joins a few of his friends on the search for more living people, they are captured and held hostage by the inmates of the prison. Jonah knows they may not escape, especially when he smells the putrid smell of death walking. Can Jonah escaped with the help of his new friends, or will he die only to be reborn to something so sinister and dark, the devil himself will shy away?
Kim Paffenroth entwines the want to live with blood and gore. This book is violent, bloody, and somewhat sickening. A true horror novel at its best. The few main characters could have a little more detail, I easily pictured the grotesque Zombies but I could not conjure up in my mind Jonah's image or Jack's for that matter. There was always excitement happening and not one moment in this novel did the characters let their guards down.
Dying To Live is a novel any horror reader would enjoy, and possibly read many times over. So if you're looking for a good novel to read in a haunted house this Halloween or anytime for that matter, then I suggest you get to the nearest bookstore and pick up your copy today...you never know when Zombies will invade the world and time will run out. 4 Hearts

Seducing Cat by Adriana Kraft *e-book*
Meg Keenan was the Aphrodite on Earth. She relished in the feel of sex, with men or women, whoever caught her eye. She had her at the moment lover Kurt, and the woman she lusted over, Professor Caitlin Shanahan would soon be hers.
Meg knew Cat secretly watched her and was attracted to her. Meg came up with the plan to Seduce Cat and show her the love a woman could give. She also planned on giving Cat another gift, Kurt.
Cat didn't want to share Meg with anyone, especially her carpenter, Kurt. But the night they all succumbed to a threesome there was no turning back. Meg abruptly disappeared with a much older man leaving the two alone to sort out their feelings. What would happen now that Meg was no longer there to be the buffer?
Would Kurt continue to restore Cat's house and put his feelings and erotic thoughts at bay? Is there any way Cat can accept the man ten years her junior, into her life and her bed?
Adrian Kraft wields the tale of an erotic love triangle that will make your mouth water. The characters were very life-like, although I found it hard to accept that Cat would so easily succumb to Meg when she had never been with a woman before, let alone a threesome. Seducing Cat is an extremely sensual and sexual read that will get YOU all hot and bothered. 5 Hearts

The Traitor's Wife: A Novel of the Reign of Edward II by Susan Higginbotham *print book*
After King Edward's death, his eldest son Edward II was to inherit the throne. Edward II was rumored to have sexual relations with Piers Gaveston, while nothing was ever proven for sure. Edward as well as Piers both married beautiful women, and sired beautiful children. King Edward II doted on Piers claiming him as close as a brother, but in turn that made Edwards other brothers furious as they did not receive such niceties.
Piers Gaveston had been exiled many times until finally he met his death by beheading. This saddened the King beyond measure and from that moment on the kingdom as I call it diminished. Through all of this, Eleanor le Despenser a former Clare, and the King's niece was by the King's side as well as a lady's maid of sorts to the Queen.
Eleanor was always in the middle whether it be defending her husband, the King, or even Gaveston. When Hugh le Despenser was accused of piracy, or other horrid deeds through his life, Eleanor stood by his side faithfully and ready to forgive him at any moment. When rumors began of Hugh and King Edward II intimacies, Eleanor remains loyal, but it truly was not a wise decision in my opinion.
So many devastating events, so many innocent as well as guilty have spilt blood, but in this story family remains the top priority to Eleanor. Hugh as wreaked havoc all over, even causing Eleanor's sister to be imprisoned at one time. What will it take to knock Hugh off his high horse so to speak? Is there any way King Edward can regain the respect of his people or is all doomed?
Susan Higginbotham has definitely done her share of research in spinning this tale of deceit, betrayal, romance, and untimely deaths. The Traitor's Wife was based on actual events although some of the names were changed so not to confuse the reader, I really appreciated that. I had no idea that such scandal occurred in this historical time. The author made each and every character no matter how small come to life. Vivid images of traitors deaths, births, and the beauty of a faithful wife have forever been etched into my mind.
If you are looking for an informative and sitting on the edge of your seat kind of read, then The Traitor's Wife is the novel for you. So much history is packed between the covers of this book. I would recommend this to anyone who shares a love of Historicals. 5 hearts

HOT LIKE FIRE -- THE TAMING AND LIBERATION OF MARIANA BY JEANIE JOHNSON AND JAYHA LEIGH *e-book and print*
Mariana still mulling over the break up with her ex Brendon, had no idea her life was about to drastically change, leaving her saying Brendon who? When a Six Foot Nine Native American built by Godlike standards approaches Mariana, and whispers all the delectable things he wants to do to her, she is putty in his hands. Just recently out of a bad relationship and doubting she is good enough to be with Samson, she lets her body take hold and endure all the sensual and arousing feelings Samson showers upon her.
Samson did not only want Mariana, he needed her. Needed to posses her and mark her so that no man would even consider staking claim to what was his. He was the alpha male, dominate and ensued fear amongst all thinking to steal away what is his. Never would his Somente Mina want or need for another man, he was the only man in her world and if he had to lay down the law to every living breathing man or woman for that matter, he would with no hesitation.
Mariana knew Samson was obsessively protective, but she relished in knowing she was the reason for his actions. Never had she felt so wanted or loved. Being in bed making love to Samson for days on end would never compare to any man walking this earth and he was all hers. Dominance turned her on and just the sound of his voice could make her loose control, she only feared he would never tire of her and leave. Samson on the other hand had plans, plans that would keep her in his life forever no matter the cost.
Jeanie Johnson and Jayha Leigh are forces not to be reckoned with. Put these two master-minds together and you get a fantastic erotic novella that will melt the paint off the walls it is so HOT! The cover art alone is enough to make anyone's heart thump, but what is written inside these pages will scorch the panties right off of you. These two lovely ladies are extraordinary writers and hopefully they will continue to put their brains together and rock out more sinfully sweet erotic novels for the world to read. 5 Hearts

A Restless Knight by Deborah MacGillivray *print book*
Lady Tamlyn MacShane had the gift of the kenning, but she did not see soon enough ahead of what was about to happen. The Dragons were invading Glenrogha and there was naught she could do to stop them...or could she?
Lord Julian Challon enraged at the thoughts of his men trying to press rape on an innocent woman of Glenrogha, he interceded to stop the men before succeeding. Her eyes captivated and drew feelings inside he had never experienced before. She was the woman who could make his dreams of family and a son come true, its a shame she wanted nothing to do with him.
Julian is haunted by dreams of his brother's untimely death and the massacre of Berwick. He just wants peace and to share his life with this Highland Enchantress. But first the two must come together to save the lands from destruction. Along the way love seeps into their hearts, but will Tamlyn give in and let her heart fall to the one man she despised?
Deborah MacGillivray transports the reader back into the Highlands of Scotland year 1296. Lively, spirited characters brought this story of historical romance to life right before my eyes. This is the first book in The Dragons of Challon Series and if the rest of the books are as wonderful as this one, you better believe they will all be on the top of my bookshelf.
Magically and skillfully written, A Restless Knight will bewitch you. I have discovered Ms. MacGillivray's books are addictive, staying up late into the morning reading ensures, no reader will be disappointed.5 Hearts

The Invasion of Falgannon Isle by Deborah MacGillivray *print book*
If such a place existed harboring 213 single braw Scotsmen, would you be tempted to travel to Falgannon in search of a husband? The Isle is cursed you see, there is a shortage of marriageable women...or actually truth be told there are no marriageable women on Falgannon besides B.A. Montomerie and she does not count.
B.A. Montgomerie was the only person that could break the curse being held against Falgannon Isle; she just needed a black haired, green eyed Outlander to fall in love with. Montgomeries were a stubborn breed and if one finds love, they'll resort to chaining a man up in their bedroom if it comes down to it. Upon trying to play matchmaker for the single Scots, B.A. finds herself falling in love with the green eyed warlock that came in with the Vikings.
Desmond Mershan had one thing on his mind and that was Revenge, he promised his mother and himself that the Montgomeries would pay for the pain they've caused. Only he had no idea the spell B.A. Montgomerie would weave into his heart could be his downfall. He planned on using her and her body and then taking what was rightfully his, the northern one third of Falgannon Isle. But neither would give in or give up without a fight.
The Curse must be broken before any woman can produce female children. It is all up to B.A. and Desmond to come together in love to save the life of the Falgannonions. When B.A. finds out the truth about Desmond, she still does not give up the hope of everlasting love between them. It takes a tug of war and a kiss of near death to realize, what was in the past should remain and keep your eyes open to the future.
Deborah MacGillivray is a spell weaving author that has the magic to capture the reader's heart from the very start of her book, The Invasion Of Falgannon Isle. Bantering Scots, an over-fed chaperon kitty, and a cup of green goop that'll cure a hangover are but a few hidden treasures inside the cover of a fabulous Contemporary Romance that will grip your heart. A tear was shed a few times and then a river of tears flowed nearing the end, so when you read this story make sure the tissues are always near by.
Seven sisters waiting love, one has already captured her green eyed man, and from what I can imagine this book is the first in a tantalizing series yet to come. I WILL have those books on my TBR list as soon as they reach the shelves. 5 Hearts to Ms. MacGillivray

In Her Bed by Deborah MacGillivray *print book*
Damian St. Giles covets his cousins betrothed beauty, Tamlyn. At the Beltane party Damian drowns his sorrows in imbibing in too much mead, as well as a special brew provided by triplet brothers. Waking up shackled to a bed is not so bad when the beauty Damian craves is right beside of him, touching and caressing his naked body. The brothers did promise the special brew would make all of his dreams come true....
Princess Aithinne Ogilvie must find a way to keep Lyonglen out of the hands of men that want the land for their greedy selves. The only way she can come up with is to give birth to a bairn, but the only problem, was that Aithinne was not married or even betrothed. Stealing a man for breeding purposes seems a little extreme, but what other choices are there? When a spell is woven between Aithinne and Damian and the first night of intercourse takes place, there is no turning back. Both lives will either flourish or the spell will cause more lies that will be added to the turmoil that is Aithinne's life.
She wants to keep Damian, but his heart lies with another. Can he come to love Aithinne as much as he loves her own cousin? What is yet to come of Lyonglen and the bairn Aithinne so desires?
Deborah MacGillivray enchants the reader with her historical romance In Her Bed. The characters were described beautifully and easily came to life before my eyes. It is so rare to see a lady take charge in a historical by making the first move on a man, but I found it endearing. This book brought warmth on a cold day with the heated love making scenes and the blossoming love between the characters; and don't forget the twists! I would highly recommend you get your own copy today and curl up with this wonderfully written book. 5 Hearts

Diary Of Daniella Rolfe by Dawne` Dominique *e-book* (not yet released)
Daniella Rolfe was the last of The First vampires, although there were many of her kin still left roaming the world feeding on humans to stay alive. When Daniella's penthouse is burglarized and officer Aiden Blackmore is assigned to the case, Daniella fears she may not be able to keep from breaking the vow she promised herself centuries ago. From the moment she looks into his hypnotic green eyes she knew he could be her downfall.
Aiden was on assignment as Daniella's bodyguard until the murders in the city either came to an end or the murderer was found. He thought it strange the initials in each male victims back were the same as hers, but even more frightening was seeing his name scrawled across the chest of the latest victim, Daniella's latest lover.
Daniella and Aiden both dream erotically of one another, although the dreams seem too real. Want and need burn like fire between the two, but Daniella knows not to mess with a man of authority and Aiden only knows that he must possess her. Love silently builds quickly, but with the slash of a knife it can be taken away just as fast.
Daniella vowed to never make another of her kind, but when Aiden came into her life he seemed to shatter all the guards she had constructed around her heart. One by one the shards begin fall, and blood will be spilled. Will Daniella follow her heart, or will she let the only love she'd ever known slip away?
Dawne` Dominique is captivating, her writing style is truly unique. I felt the characters were strong and sophisticated by the use of words penned by Ms. Dominique. A tale of Romance and the vividly erotic scenes painted in this novella made the story come to life. I was entranced while reading the Diary of Daniella Rolfe, and I can assure you this read will not disappoint. 5 Hearts

A Rumor Of Dragons by Michael A. Heald *print book*
Marc Courtenay, Prince of Cathgar; looked at himself as only half a man. He was born without hands, and what good is a Prince with no hands? He had no idea that the life Sedoy dealt him would balance out very soon. Marc was going to be an important tool to his father, but being a Dragon Rider took precedence over his fathers plans.
Along the way of Marc's journey he meets a Wandering Folk lady called Evlynn, she saves his life when the Menem are upon him. Then K'Lal, his blue eyed dragon comes to him in dreams at first. And always by his side is his mentor and wizard friend Kili. With the help of all of his friends as well as his betrothed Alisse, Marc may actually have a chance at saving the people of Cathgar and Farling.
When Alisse discovers she has a twin sister and the unimaginable things Lisa has done, Alisse had no choice but to offer her life in hopes of saving hundreds or even thousands of others...or so she thought. Marc and K' Lal loose the link with Alisse, all could be lost and Marc may never have the chance to meld with his dragon. What is to become of the dragon and his rider? Are all these sacrifices even going to make a difference in this war?
A Rumor Of Dragons, is a magical young adult fantasy novel that will weave a spell over you. I enjoyed reading the adventures through the young prince's life. The Novel leaves you wanting more as it is cut off at the very peak of excitement. I thought this story was like the book Eragon in the beginning as two of the same characters names are mentioned and it was based on dragons and their riders. BUT I was proven wrong, because as this story escalated from one extreme to the other, I found that it was nothing like Eragon.
Dr. Heald has a way of weaving magic through the pages ensorceling the reader. This novel is the first in an addictive series and I will be sure to read the next book as I know it will have even more delicious twists. 5 Hearts

The Reckoning by D. Mikels *print book*
John Morrison's life was going right down the drain. With the loss of his son and now his impending divorce, he thought all was lost. True he still had his daughter Tiffany, but nothing will ever sooth his heart. John had no idea that his life was about to get much much worse, at the first sight of the green smoke.
The Others with fiery red eyes, cannibalistic nature, and the need to set buildings afire, were taking over. The infectious disease spreading like wildfire amongst the town and surrounding areas. There were only a handful of survivors, but John, Kevin, and Deb managed to stick together and escape from the evil brewing in Blairington.
D. Mikels scrawls a tale of horror that engrosses the reader from the start. I started reading this book one night while lying in bed...believe me that did not last long. Dreams of Zombies with fiery red eyes plagued me for two days. The Reckoning was filled with excitement and ended in an unimaginable twist. D. Mikels knows what he is doing, a captivating author that can make the hairs on your neck stand straight up. 5 Hearts

Following My Heart: A Memoir by N.A. Diaman *print book*
Life told through the eyes of a young man experiencing the fruits and bitters the world had to offer; struggling in the beginning with his sexuality. He knew after experiencing love making with a woman that he preferred men but still the rare occasion would come up and he spent the night with a woman left feeling bereft and guilty knowing that is not what his heart wanted.
Moving from place to place and having partners on and off, life was never easy for a gay male in his day and age...it was all still sort of taboo, but he refused to deny his homosexuality. He began to find happiness and come to terms with himself, but that took time. He experienced Marijuana and LSD hoping that would bring a bit of clarity to his world.
N.A. Diaman pens the memoir of his life as a gay male trying to make the world a better place in his eyes and do the best for himself that he knows how. He always wanted to show his creativity and willingness to work, he truly did deserve happiness. This book was a joy to read and I feel like I know the young man in a way, it has to be hard to recount your life especially the not so happy times. But N.A. had it written very well. The lack of quotation marks still brought the story down a little for me BUT I enjoyed the storyline immensely. 4 Hearts
