Someone has hijacked the doorway to the stars, the travel system used by Earth dwellers to visit different planets. Freya Kirkland was the captain of these inter planetary tours, and on her visit to Willowbane she is about to be kidnapped by one of the hijackers, known as the Outlander.

Aries has studied her and watched her for a year, now was his time to take what he wanted. Yes in a way she would be used for breeding stock but he still felt an electric connection to her, fighting and all he would do whatever necessary to get her back to his ship.

A war is brewing, the Gaians want to take over everything including Earth and Freya wants nothing more than to escape Aries. Will the war in her heart ever be decided? Aries is the enemy after all, but he is just so bloody gorgeous… can one night of passion make her fall for this brute of a man, or will it be mistake? Doorway to the stars is a futuristic novella with a touch of romance and spice. The characters were very realistic and the story overall was very well written. Ms. Matthew’s has a knack for writing in this genre I look forward to reading more of her books. 4 Hearts
