Courtney Primm is an actress with a regular occurring role on a popular soap opera but yearns to be a star with a capital S. With her best friend, Leah Conroy, acting as her personal assistant, the duo wade their way into the muck and mire surrounding the entertainment business. Stars In Their Eyes by Danielle Turchiano is a novel written in semi-screenplay form. It is chalk full of pop culture references and snappy dialogue, especially between Courtney and her best friend, Leah. The relationship between Courtney and Jay is as annoying as it is diverting and the realistic peek into the entertainment industry leaves one wondering why anyone would choose that particular path.
