Stars In Their Eyes by Danielle Turchiano

Courtney Primm is an actress with a regular occurring role on a popular soap opera but yearns to be a star with a capital S. With her best friend, Leah Conroy, acting as her personal assistant, the duo wade their way into the muck and mire surrounding the entertainment business. As they angle for a foothold on the Hollywood scene life takes it’s toll.

Complications arise in the form of Jay, the relationship that follows and the resulting decisions that put themselves first and their connection second. Add three dogs, a best friend connected by a very long umbilical cord, his family and one can only wait for the descent down hill.

Stars In Their Eyes by Danielle Turchiano is a novel written in semi-screenplay form. It is chalk full of pop culture references and snappy dialogue, especially between Courtney and her best friend, Leah. The relationship between Courtney and Jay is as annoying as it is diverting and the realistic peek into the entertainment industry leaves one wondering why anyone would choose that particular path.
