Twila Deeds had no idea how much her brothers disappearance was about to affect her very near future. Danny had been missing for six months, and the knocking on her door reminded her that it must be just another Fed trying to find out new information. But the man with impossibly blue eyes was not a Fed, he was a Brother, a time guardian from Scotland sent to bring her to Danny. He didn’t tell her the full extent of what her stay in the Scottish Castle would entail, she would find out soon enough. And he knew she would be less than happy with what she was going to discover.
Twila did not trust Gerard Abercrombie as far as she could throw him, but when a gun is pointed at her head, she didn’t have much choice but to comply with his request to hop on the back of his motorcycle and be whisked into the unknown. Oh boy, was she going to strangle Danny when she saw him! But for the time being she would secretly enjoy the site of Mr. Abercrombie’s arse while he wasn’t looking. He truly was a beautiful man.
Twila does not know what to say or believe upon hearing what is expected of her. She must choose a man to marry, and not just any man mind you, a Brother. A time guardian that will be forever bound to her. As well as be inducted into the Druidess Sisterhood, could her life get any stranger? Yes, it can.
She began wanting to be with Gerard, and when a single kiss brought out the Holy Light Of Union proving they were soul mates, there was only one more step to complete the ritual. A very sensual, sexual mind blowing step that is well worth being bound to Gerard for all time.
What will happen when Gerard gives Twila a Valentine gift that hopefully she will return to him? Will he ever have her full heart?
Skhye Moncrief mingles fantasy, and love with Scotland, could it get any better? With delightful feisty characters and a well laid out story line, Ms. Moncrief delivers a spectacular tale! A perfect read for Valentines Day that will warm your heart. 5 Hearts

The Jackets by Liz DeJesus *print book*
The Jackets is a novel about a myriad of colorful jackets worn by women who may not have had such an easy life. Each chapter is entitled with a different color, red, indigo, blue, grey and so on. Some chapters stand on their own as others mingle together.
Indigo and Blue were two of my very favorites that just stuck with me. Joan used her Indigo jacket as a security blanket, hiding inside herself away from the world. Her best friend Susie is not what she appears to be, and the man Malcolm that Joan meets will soon be more than he’s ever been. Sound a little confusing…its not, you must read the story to find out why I left out the most important parts.
Yellow is the story of Audrey, she is beaten by her now ex, Keith and dares to break out on her own. She meets a wonderful Policeman in the police station and runs into him a few months later; she is so busted checking out what is in his grocery cart. A good thing though because it turns into a very interesting first date.
And ending with the Navy jacket, Ms. DeJesus could not have picked a better jacket to end the novel with. Jack is in love with his brother’s wife, but that in itself prose’s a problem doesn’t it? Carla fantasizes about Jack while being intimate with her husband Jeremy. She has known for a long time that she picked the wrong brother to be with. Some characters reappear in this story linking the whole book together beautifully.
Liz DeJesus’, The Jackets is a splendid compilation of perfectly written stories that will keep you turning the pages. Gorgeous illustrations were at the beginning of some chapters, they were very eye pleasing. I would highly recommend The Jackets to anyone that can pick up a book and read. The stories are things that can happen to real people, with a fantasy twist. I do hope you will take my advice and order your copy today! 5 Hearts

Dragon Queen by Jayel Gibson *print book*
Born are the seven Ancients from the Tree of Creation knowing that they must assist the Guardians in fulfilling the Prophecy of Man. As three Guardians are being called to Meremire from their slumber, a shadow passes above and that means the Guardian will be reborn with darkness in their heart. Who will betray their brethren?
Alandon saw the evil his daughter was harboring in her soul, even to the point of having the Queen, her mother slain so that she could be crowned. Twins as different as night and day; Yavie the pure one that did not hunger for the crown, the younger of the two; and then Aleria the evil twin bound to wreak destruction upon Aestretfordae. Alandon knew what must be done, he divided Aestretfordae into seven pieces and condemning it to forever slumber until the time was right. When the rightful Dragon Queen would take her place on the throne.
Yavie and the Guardians had many obstacles to over come before they could fully see the rebirth of Aestretfordae. Evil lurked around every corner, things were hardly ever as they seemed, and somewhere between dying and being reborn, blood oaths, betrayal, journeys for Truths, and memories, came love. Sorel was a Guardian from one of the seven pieces of Aestretfordae, with his life he would forever protect Yavie in battle and with his heart.
Much evil still lurks just behind the Guardians or in some cases lays in wait before them. A tale of many combined events that at the moment you think the book is coming to an end, it throws more action right into your face.
Dragon Queen by Jayel Gibson is a fantasy novel that you will not put down once you start reading the first page. Over 500 pages of twist and turning pure excitement, Dragon Queen delivers a sensational read! An eye-catching cover is only the beginning of the entrancing story, so reader be warned, once the cover is open, it is not easily closed. Ms. Gibson pens a fantasy novel unlike any other, it is a must read. 5 Hearts

Neptune's Lair by Dorothy McFalls *ebook*
Dallas St. John was just a normal woman needing a job to pay the rent and survive. Albeit Dallas was not as normal as you might think; actually she wasn’t even fully human. All things would be discovered in due time, but will her time run out once the darkness overtakes her?
Brendan Cromerty was one of the Protectors, with his vision of a sable haired beauty in trouble he went to her aid. The kiss seared his soul, from that moment in time, nothing would ever be the same. Brendan had never known pure true love, but neither had Dallas. Two halves of one soul destined to meet, but also destined to die.
A few days rolling around in the bed were pure ecstasy for the couple. Love wiggled its way into their hearts but Brendan would not accept their extraordinary sex as love, it was lust. He would die to save Dallas, too bad he may have to do just that.
Dorothy McFalls’ novella Neptune’s Lair is an enticingly erotic read. I enjoyed Neptune’s Lair very much, it was tender in all the right places and hot and steamy everywhere else! Ms. McFalls has a skill for penning an addictive read. 5 Hearts

Damien and Erik both began to bid on Valdis as she stood on the auction block, being a virgin could make the right man very happy. But what about a man that didn’t want a woman? Erik was in her thrall, something about her called to him. Was it the two different colored eyes known to be two souls inhabiting one body, or was it the beauty and strength of the woman before him? Being out bid by at the eunuch Damien, he finds himself curious as to why a ball-less wonder would want such a treasure as Valdis.
Damien needs Valdis to feign all knowledge of the seid and Sight in order for his plans to work with the silk merchant. When he requests the best tutor to teach Valdis Greek, he is appalled at the man standing before him. Erik, the Northman, the other bidder. Warning Erik to keep his distance only added temptation to the fire. Erik was falling hopelessly in love with Valdis but he knew she must keep her purity in hopes to ever regain her freedom
Valdis is sold to the silk merchant, he is a vile man and the only thing that gets her through the day is knowing Erik has found a way to be with her. It seems she does possess the Sight after all.
Silk Dreams by Diana Groe is a tantalizing epic-tale of love, honor and sacrifice. A true love story at its finest. Ms. Groe has the ability to make you fall in love with the characters from the very start. Once you start this novel, be prepared not to put it down.

Dead Perfect by Amanda Ashley *print book* Feb. Release
Shannah Davis did not wish to die although it seemed inevitable. The doctors could not find a cure, resulting in 24 year old Shannah’s failing health and impending death. In search of the one thing that could save her from death, what would she do once she found him? Pass out on his doorstep?
After following her mysterious dark clothed stranger for almost 5 months, she tempted fate. If he truly was a vampire he would be able to make her immortal, but if he was just a regular man, she was doomed to die. If offered the Dark Gift, would her mortal heart accept?
Ronan knew he was being followed by the girl, he just didn’t expect to see her at this time of day. When Shannah fainted on his doorstep, he braved the sun to bring her inside. The droplets of blood from the fall were all too tempting; when he tasted her, he tasted death.
Ronan needed Shannah and it was obvious Shannah needed Ronan. He offered her a tempting deal, in which she accepted. Pretended to be his pseudonym as a romance author, go on tour and do book signings as it was hardly believable that a man could write such enticing stories. Shannah enjoyed the fame for a time, until the hunter showed up.
Love finds Ronan after 513 years, but she is a mortal and dying. Shannah does not know the truth about Ronan, he never admitted to being a vampire, but does the heart care? When you go in search of something, make sure you’re willing to accept the consequences. How will Shannah feel when Ronan makes a decision for the both of them that can possibly drive Shannah away? Will Ronan be able to live with his breaking heart?
Amanda Ashley’s vampire romance novel, Dead Perfect is compelling! Ms. Ashley has the thrall of a vampire on her side. I started reading Dead Perfect right before bed, and my very first thought when I awoke was, “I need to finish that book!” Amanda Ashley’s vivid characters and fantastic storyline were remarkable! Ms. Ashley has been a favorite of mine for years, and never once has she let me down. Dead Perfect has just raised the bar on Vampire Romance. 5 Hearts

Vacation by Jeremy C. Shipp *print book*
Bernard Johnson started out as teacher and then he became a lesson plan writer, sort of like a teacher for teachers. He had the constant feeling he would not be where he was in life if it were not for his father. Bernard never felt courageous or independent, and now he was starting to fall out of love with his much younger girlfriend Hillary; something had to be done. That is when the idea to Vacation popped into his head, he needed this, he needed to find himself.
While on Vacation a lot of strange things happened. Lucid dreams plagued him, images of a sister he never met talked to him as if she were there in person, and a student that once was male and taunted Bernard was now a woman. An attractive woman none the less, and now they were semi-friends. Until one day when an injection would turn his already increasingly strange world upside down ten-fold. I can not begin to explain all the weirdness Bernard experiences from Chapter eight on.
I am honestly not sure what to think of the novel Vacation. Personally it is too hard to get a grasp as to what is going on for me. Thoughts and events seem to run together and don’t make sense sometimes. Vacation to me is a young adult read with the occasional obscenity; I say this because it would be something a YA would enjoy and find humor in most parts and suspense in others.
Jeremy C. Shipp has a way of painting the picture he wants portrayed to the reader perfectly. The characters were very colorful and well detailed. His storyline was not of my tastes exactly but I am only one person and so far he has received rave reviews for Vacation. There are twists along Bernard’s journey that kept the book interesting, and stepping into Bernard’s mind proves mind-boggling all in its own. Mr. Shipp is an exceptional writer, and hopefully later in the future we will cross paths again. 3.5 hearts

The Trading Assistant’s Assistant: How to start a part-time job or full-time consignment drop off business on eBay by Hillary DePiano *print book*
Hillary DePiano’s short How-To guide is very informative to anyone looking to earn a little extra income by selling items on EBAY. As an EBAY seller myself, I had no idea there was a program such as the Trading Assistant. That is where an established EBAY seller, makes an agreement with a client to sell, ship and do most of the leg work in return for a profit.
Anyone over the age of 18 looking to earn a little extra spending money is eligible for the Trading Assistant program. Although a few requirements must be met. The TA must have a feedback rating of 100 with over a 97% positive feedback. An average of 4 items per month must be sold, based on a 3 month period. If you would rather set up a different EBAY account for just TA purposes, you must build up to the requirements before you’re considered a full TA.
Included are key chapters such as, Pro’s and Cons of being a Trading Assistant, Getting Started, Terms, Conditions, and Policies, and Registering as a Business for IRS Tax purposes. The IRS now states that you must report any income earned from selling items on EBAY. There are also notes from the author about her own experiences that helped her to be a better Trading Assistant.
The Trading Assistant’s Assistant is a must have for anyone one selling on EBAY. With this inexpensive little guide you can learn how to meet clients, and stabilize a new way to get a little more money to put in the cookie jar. Instead of the income from selling your own items why not increase the profits by selling items for other trustworthy clients?
Hillary DePiano has the right idea, her How-To guide is easy to follow and right down to business. There are no difficult directions, so anyone just learning how to operate and sell on EBAY can pick this up and get started as a Trading Assistant with no problems. I did learn a few new things from Ms. DePiano and now I’m going to pass this on to my husband so maybe we can become Trading Assistants and build that nest egg for an Ireland trip. 4 Hearts

A Song of Independence by Charles Copeland * e-book*
A song of Independence is a compilation of stories that are mostly fiction but are right on the border line of being eerily true. There are eleven different stories known as books in Charles Copeland’s writings. Some of the earlier books are based on characters created by humans or the humans creating characters in video games or internet and the results usually involve backfiring on the unsuspecting victim. The middle to end stories focus on the New World Order…frightening how real those are.
I wish I could elaborate on each book individually but then the review would never be finished. So I will choose a couple that were the most interesting to me. In book two, a husband and wife had different views of how the characters and rules were supposed to be played in the Sims computer game. The wife wanted to play by the rules while her husband wanted to trap characters in a small room to wait for death so that he could collect their earnings and possessions. There are reasons for rules, and Carl learns the hard way.
Book six was also a favorite of mine, in Atlantic City there are cats everywhere. And with an operation called OMEGA, you better not feed the stray cats…or you may just end up being one. Book seven was an eye opener of sorts, talking about how justice tends to be blind. A little girl abducted and murdered on her eight birthday by a priest none the less was one person who could have actually made the future a little brighter. But not now, the little girl’s father learned a lesson, but the priest must also learn too; don’t take something that can never be put back.
Ok, I know I said a couple but I have one more that I must lavish upon. Book eleven, the very last one. If you were to awaken one morning and everyone in the world including your wife were dead because the world came to an end, what would you do? Foxx would go to the liquor store and stock up on whiskey and coke. He would later be joined by a woman, would they repopulate the world?
Charles Copeland is an extraordinary author that gets the wheels in your brain turning. His truths about the New World Order and other beliefs shine through. Most of the stories had bits and pieces of humor that I found very enjoyable. Wonderfully detailed and imaginative story lines, make for a fantastic read. Great job, Mr. Copeland! 5 Hearts!

The Vampires Of Hope’s Covenant by Hubert L. Mullins *print book*
When a vampire hunter hell-bent on revenge, a vampire left scorned and a musician unite, there is going to be a lot of blood shed.
Hope’s Covenant was about to be over-run by vampires for the second time in a thousand years. The warrior vampiress, Dyne was searching for something extremely valuable buried beneath the Birchlock mansion. After three hundred years, she was closer than she had ever been to obtaining her prize. With all of her vampire spawned warriors to fight by her side, she was not prepared for the fate about to befall her.
Tranas was a vampire hunter, he was teemed up with the vampire Sigmon in search of Dyne. Dyne spawned his wife turning her into the very thing he hated. Anaquest was the first vampire he had to ever kill, but his wife would not be his last. And to make matters worse, Dyne claimed to have watch Tranas’ newborn daughter burn in her crib; but is that the truth?
Sky was an innocent in this vampire blood match, at least so she thought. Being summoned to Garrin’s mansion to play music for his noble friends was the reason Sky found herself in Hope’s Covenant in the first place. She knew the money would help her and her children back in Brookstone. She just didn’t expect to be part of the nightmare befalling the small town.
All of the people involved, Sky, Tranas, Sigmon, Dyne, and even little Hannah were a ploy to a much bigger game. The Shadow had bigger plans. While becoming an ally with Dyne promising her the heart of a Greater Overlord, he also played his cards elsewhere to benefit his own dark wants; to resurrect the dragon Gwenavaughn from the dead.
The Vampires Of Hope’s Covenant is a spectacular novel filled with a little bit something for everyone. Hubert L. Mullins packs action and details into every inch of this fantasy novel, resulting in a page turner. Mr. Mullins is a phenomenal story-teller. Writing a 616 page novel that can hold a readers interest is no easy task. He conquers the task leaving me wanting more. I highly recommend this book, it is well worth reading! 5 Hearts

The Room by Ray Melnik *print book*
Harry Ladd and his brother Malcolm had a not so happy childhood. Their mother and each other were all the boys had that could constitute as happiness. With an abusive father, the Ladd family lived in fear not knowing what would happen from day to day, or what would be said that would be the final straw causing Mr. Ladd’s temper to surface.
Harry was the caretaker, he watched over his brother and his mother as best he could. The only place that ever felt safe was their mother’s bedroom, even if it meant hiding in the closet. But now some twenty four years later, the bedroom was not a haven of safety, it was laden with sadness. Rue Ladd had brain cancer; she had only a small amount of time left.
Malcolm wanted nothing to do with his brother Harry or even his own mother. But Harry was tired of lying to his mother about where Malcolm was. She was going into a state of delirium, believing she was reliving the time when Mr. Ladd hit her and she hurt her leg badly. Harry was only twelve years old back then. But now he was old enough to forgive all that happened in his childhood; he just couldn’t see why Malcolm was still holding the grudge long after his father passed away.
Something strange was about to happen, stepping into the room the very last time Rue would be alive, time rewound itself. Harry saw a twelve year old face looking back at him in the mirror. Listening to his mother’s confession, he knew she had to get things off of her chest before she could die peacefully. Only, what would happen when time shifts back?
Ray Melnik’s, The Room is a story that you can not help but like. In the beginning it was a little slow for me; there was not much excitement until he met Lacie. She seemed to be the one to help Harry move on and accept life as it was going to be. Toward the middle, it started picking up and I really got into feeling the emotions portrayed by Mr. Melnik through his characters. The Room is a refreshing read, I am sure we will be hearing more from such a talented author in the future. 4 Hearts

Into The Spell: A Kim Bennett Thriller by Norm Applegate *print book*
Tampa, Florida proves unsafe when the mayor’s daughter is murdered. Jennifer is murdered in the same ways as the Son of Sam killings, is someone out there trying to copy cat? Or has the real killer eluded the police and making a come back?
Kim Bennet was on the plane waiting for take off when an FBI agent pulls her off the flight. She had just finished a lecture at USF, on her way back to San Fran Cisco, now she may be a suspect in Jennifer’s murder. Kim was quickly waved of the possibility when the murder weapon was confirmed, the same gun used in the Son of Sam murders; but how can that be?
Titus Constantin had the power of mind control; he often used hypnosis in the night club as a stage act. But now he was on to much bigger and better things. He would hypnotize people to go and do the murdering for him so that no blood was on his hands. Meanwhile he would use Rachel Burns while under hypnosis to satisfy his perversions. Oh, and did I mention he hears voices from the deceased? Madam Blavatsky was her name, even though she tried to warn Titus of the future he didn’t listen, he was on a power high seeking revenge for his brother that was murdered. Kim Bennett was his target.
The six degrees of separation are all throughout this story. Everyone is linked to someone that proves deadly for some. Kim was captured and tortured once before, and it happened again! Titus’ hypnosis didn’t work the first time on Kim, but could she hold out when time was of most importance? She is holding a gun to one of her previous lovers head, does Titus really hold that much power over her?
Norm Applegate’s Novel Into The Spell is spine-tingling and edgy. It is a new twist on thrillers that will keep you biting your nails and holding your breath. Mr. Applegate’s writing is infectious, now I have to back up and read the first book in the Kim Bennett thriller series, Into The Basement. He has me hooked. 5 Hearts
