I loved every little minute of it because it married my two favorite genre’s, historical and romance. 5 Hearts

To Beguile a Beast by Elizabeth Hoyt is a beautifully written Romantic Historical that will keep you turning the pages well into the night. I love her descriptions of the characters, the scenery, and the story of the Truth Teller. Also, I loved the fact that her male character, Alistair, wasn’t perfect… he was scarred and missing some fingers, but had a heart and persona that any woman would fall in love with. Ms. Hoyt is a very talented lady, that is for sure. 5 Hearts

Always on the run, Kim has to stop running and face the facts. A blood thirsty blood doll is ready to jump in for the kill, and a Native American detective that sees “things”, wants to make a deal with the big man in charge; and the saddest part of all, a good friend is forced to kill someone she loves. But Nicolai does something sort of sadistic, in hopes of finding out the truth about Jack the Ripper, The Black Testament, and Kim Bennett.
Blood Bar by Norm Applegate is a paranormal thriller that will keep you intrigued from the start. It holds a lot of mystery and unknowns that eventually reveal themselves. A strong heroine that is used to “roughing it” in the world of S&M finally understands the reason why she is the way she is. Role playing vampires, or do vampires really exist? Dive in to the world and mind of Norm Applegate as he paints vivid pictures of blood, gore, and sex, in Blood Bar. 4.5 Hearts

John Hawkins has to do something to make six thousand dollars, and fast, or they’re going to foreclose on his home. The home he shared with Ellie, his late wife, a place that holds a world full of memories to him. When an offer that he couldn’t refuse came along, with the help of his brother in law, Norman, he had no choice but to accept. Little did he know that Kathryne was the daughter to his good friend. John was instantly smitten, and as the days went buy, a love quickly bloomed between the two. Where Kathryne was guarded, John was the proverbial open book ready to accept what came his way.
Along the road, there are many new experiences for Kathryne, as well as new feelings she didn’t know could exist between a man and woman. A forty four year old woman is about to have the love of a life time, and a small miracle… yeah, she’s pretty lucky!
It’s Never Too Late by Donna MacQuigg, has to be my favorite novel written by her. It was a spectacular love story with all the trimmings, where her female character had been hardened by her ex, the hero of the story is soft and caring. A perfect match. I very much enjoyed reading Ms. MacQuigg’s novel, it was quite endearing. 5 Hearts

Angel Sabato and Grace O’Brien have been friends for a long time. Angel knew Grace as a strong beautiful woman who has had quite a strange life, nun, poker player, treasure hunter, and now a healer. All he knew was that he was heartbroken and could no longer be just her friend, so he went to Germany in search for a treasure and found another wife on the way… but that didn’t last too long either because there was only one woman for him.
Grace has had an interesting and painful past, and it looks like the past is about to meet her head-on. While she has been studying under the ninety something healer Tante Lulu, who is crazy as they come, she truly has not yet discovered herself. When Angel is back in the picture to help Tante Lulu and the Duval kids (hurricane Katrina survivors), Louisiana is going to get a lot more spicy than just the Cajun food they’re serving up. Sparks fly between Grace and Angel, but Grace is too afraid that her secret will make people see her in the wrong light. It’s about time to find out what people are going to think…
A lady that is as sure as the sun will rise tomorrow, believes with all her heart that St. Jude is on her side, and match-making is all part of her existence on Earth. She also has a heart of gold, starting a foundation for the families that desperately need the help after the Hurricanes, and healing those that need it, Tante Lulu is almost a saint herself… almost *grins*. So what if she’s named a dingbat, the woman will keep you laughing throughout the novel!
Sandra Hill has written an extremely heart-touching novel with, So Into You. It was one of those books that never seem to last long enough, but you feel all warm and tingly after you’ve finished reading. A happily ever after story that most people will love. The romance and sparks, as well as the humor make, So Into You, a joy and a pleasure to read. My review did not give it justice, so go ahead and grab a copy for yourself! 5 Hearts

Knight of Desire by Margaret Mallory is a great Historical Romance set in England in the 1400’s. I loved the severity of her characters, they were both passionate and fierce. The novel was expertly written, and a great amount of research into the past, really shows in Knight of Desire. A love story gone right in my opinion! 4 Hearts
